Am I the only one? I'll admit that every once in awhile I've felt the urge. But in general no. And it's not just in my overweight dotage. Even when I was skinnier in high school, I wasnt a great fan of dancing. Now maybe back then it had to do with feeling awkward around girls (gee, I wonder why). But even discounting that I don't have much of a feel for rhythm. My piano teacher used to try to get me to feel the rhythm of a passage, so I might not have to be so exact in my counting- usually I couldn't. In our high school musical- Guys and Dolls- I played Calvin in the Mission Band. I was such a klutz that they gave up on teaching me specific dance steps during the Sit Down You're Rocking The Boat scene that they told me to just go wild as if I had been touched by The Holy Spirit. Even in college, the main dancing I did was two-stepping at C&W bar. I was so happy to have definite steps to a dance- but even there I wasn't coordinated enough to learn how to turn. And I could never figure out the third step on a waltz or polka.

Sorry you are missing out on one of lifes great joys. In my younger days I would go to a club and dance non stop for hours, drenched in sweat an totally exhausted I would go back to my friends, drink alot of water and then go back to the dance floor. This was disco and my partners were women. I am sorry that I missed out on the opportunity to do that kind of dancing at a gay club but now when I have the inclination I have little of the stamina for working up that kind of perspiration.

It may be genetic. My Dad and his brother were never that much into dancing. My older brother isn't. And neither are my two male 1st cousins. I did go to a CW gay club about two years ago. They were playing something like 'Looking For Love' (in all the wrong places). I did get a bit nostalgic for my two-stepping college days. It was almost closing time and the majority of people had left. I've never 2 -stepped with a guy before-actually I've never danced any dances with another guy- not being a man magnet like many of you. But there was a woman, I'm supposing a lesbian, who was with a friend or her partner. I went up to her and asked her if she would mind two stepping with me to the song. She said yes. And even let me lead- which is good because I have no idea how to follow.

PS-I forgot to admit that I rock a mean Bunny Hop at weddings.

Every person in my family is a great dancer and singer, except me. There is no rhythm in my body at all. If I didn't look so much like my father, I'd swear I was adopted.

I ruptured my Achilles' tendon while dancing. I was doing renaissance dance to the Hully Gully and came down wrong. And ruptured the repair three months later.

I'd love to hear some more about renaissance dancing and the Hully Gully. Please PM me.

It isn't so much that I don't like dancing. But I was born with about 12 left feet. People have been known to die or be seriously injured when I dance. So I do it sparingly. Just enough to make my partner happy, who loves to dance.

Right? I watched videos on YouTube of how to do the running man so I can do it as my cardio workout at the gym and feel all sexy.

I'm sorry, what were you saying? Your new avatar has me running to find the lube...damn, I can't find it, I must have left it at WG's house.

Love love love love love that avatar Mr. "E" :p

I'm okay at it and actually enjoy it sometimes (T-dance at the Boatslip, anyone) but I think I probably look like Elaine dancing in that Seinfeld episode.

I knew I knew you from my past. So many great memories at T-dance and then on to many other people and places in the evening.

In Junior High, my parents sent me to Ball Room dancing class, every week. I had to get in my Sunday best, and go learn how to dance (Foxtrot), and not act like a cad. (Finishing School?)

Well 20 years later, I still don't know how to ball room dance, however, I am not caddish.

I had this experience too in Jr High, rapscallion. Being able to do the foxtrot is one of those things - like algebra - that I have never used since the class in which it was taught (and strangely enough, I enjoyed both at the time)

If you ever have to do any 'figuring'- such as settig up a proportion for a recipe or trying to determine how much of a building supply like paint, molding, etc., there's a good chance you are using algebra. You may not call it that - but for example when I was in high school, my mother would say that she couldn't do algebra. And then she was able to figure out my word problems 'without using algebra' better than I was. She was, of course, using algebra without realizing it.

I'll guess I'll have to be my usual dissenter here. While I'm a top, usually looking at butts does nothing for me. Occasionally in person I'll see a nice tight bubble butt- and I'll think, ' hmm'. But it's usually the whole package that is contributing to my like- not just the butt. And I don't get anything from all the exposure to the 'holes of the ass' or rimming that you see in porn films- nothing but a big feeling of blech!!! I could do without either 100%.

Give me back Chris' handsome profile and chest avatar any day of the week and twice on Sunday. And if I could see a bit of his tallywacker as well- that would be a bonus!!!
