Many of you go to Montreal, so I assume some of you may be able to advise as to gay publications an escort could advertise in Montreal. When I was there a few years ago, I do not recall see any such publication.

 

I am also curious about Toronto. Is anyone familiar with Xtra?

 

Finally, it does not appear that there are any gay chat rooms, at least on America on Line, for any Canadian cities. Any thoughts?

I don't know about Canadian Chat Rooms, but when I go to Montreal I always pick up "fugues" and there are advertisements by Escorts in the back. The web address is: http://www.fugues.com

If you're looking for a gay chat room, you can check out gay.com, there's tonnes of different Canadian rooms there including both Montréal and Toronto.

 

If you're looking for publications in Toronto, there's Fab and Xtra which are gay biweeklys, or NOW and Eye which are basically straight but have gay escort in the ads in the adult classifieds section.

In Montreal, Fugues is the magazine to advertise gay escorts ads in but it only comes out once a month. Xtra is biweekly in Toronto and has the most extensive gay escort ads. In Montreal the weekly Mirror, a freebie newspaper, has quite a selection of gay escort ads as well, and is a good alternative to Fugues for an English speaking readership. Fugues is more French oriented, altho it has quite a bit of bilingual content.

 

As for gay chat rooms, AOL, to which I subscribe, is useless. You have to have the US version, and not the Canadian, as I do. There is a good gay chat line on Priape, in French, but they screen out any explicit sex for pay overtures. Funny, really, in a city where sexual attitudes are very liberal. As a result, perhaps, the gay escort scene here in Montreal is not very oriented to the internet.
