I know, understand, and respect that. Just having a sigh at my own expense since I'm not able to make this year's gathering!

And I commend you for arranging, coordinating, orchestrating, and wrangling all the guys (and gals) in one place. Imagine that - an escort/client-wrangler!

I started this four years ago as a small gathering of friends. Nine of us the first year. And now that I've gotten on this damned horse, I have no idea how in the hell to get off. At this rate, next year's luncheon will be held at the Verizon Center. Maybe FedEx field. But it is worth it and I can't imagine not doing it. In spite of my occasional kvetching to my friends and partner (well co-host).

He said THAT you did in 2013. Not WHO you did in 2013 ...

I know - please note that I edited his question.;) Actually (to quote a disfavored word from another thread) he asked what "things" I did. Because I don't consider him a "thing":p, the edit was necessary.:D

1) In 2013 I planned and completed my first round-the-world trip

2) I visited both Japan and New Zealand, which were high on my "to do" list and places to visit

3) I finally moved out of my old place and settled down into a new apartment (the actual moving and packing wasn't a "favorite" thing to do per se, but necessary along the way)

New Year's resolutions and dreams: moving to Queenstown, New Zealand (maybe in another life) ;)

Well- this has mostly been a 2nd lousy year for me. What few semi less dark spots have not been enough to lift the year into the light. Next year doesn't look to be any better. If things weren't so awful, I'd say at least there is something to be said for consistency. I was going to list some examples of why things were still awful. And then I decided- who needs another of my useless recitations of woe. So I guess I'll leave it by saying, ' Every party needs a pooper, that's why y'all invited me.'

I saw New Zealand in 2012 and fell in love with Queenstown too. I'd love to live there, but probably only half the year!

I did some really amazing things this year. but my most favorite also had to be the hardest thing I did this year. and no, it wasnt shaving my asshole ;)

I came out to my siblings and their spouses, about my work. this has been something that's plagued me from the moment I began escorting... those of you who know me, know that I'm all about being upfront and honest. so hiding my work from them over these years has been real agony.

if you're on my mailing list, I'll be sending out my annual year-recap letter in a few days (yep, that hilarious weird thing that some people do - except mine's always had an emphasis on the sexual). and this year I'll be writing more about how they all reacted to it.

Looking forward

2013 was really one of the worst years of my life.

It started with me nearly buying the farm in late January-February. One week in a coma, 3 more in the hospital. Health problems and after effects continue to dominate my life throughout this past year. I still am determined to try and stay upbeat and laugh as much as possible. When I run out of things to laugh at, I look in the mirror. At least there is that. I am so looking forward to this year and things getting better.

A few bright spots last year:

Visiting Palm Springs and meeting the future Mrs. Jackhammer jr (uh no, guess that would be the future Escort of the year. Chris Eisenhower. Congratulations) Also had chance to catch up with some of the other guests in PS including the show performed almost on my lap by CE and Tyger. Oh what fun it is to ride in a ...well, you know the rest. And spending anytime with my wonderful good friend Oliver is a real bright spot in any year.

Also had chance to meet up with Daddy and Ace in Las Vegas for my birthday in November. Enjoyed getting up to date with both of them. I so appreciate all of the times Ace has met me for a drink or a bite to eat on my trips. He is a class act for sure.

Now I can turn the page and start a New Year with high hopes and great expectations.

Best to everyone in 2014. Keep laughing.

2013 hasn't been great for me either. Health has kept me down much of the time. Hopefully, 2014 will be better. It will start with a bang in DC in January. Then to Stanford, a new doctor, some tricky surgery, a little (lot of) recovery and I should be good as new and back to the land of the living.

Ask me the same question in 365 days and my answers should be bright.... or brighter!

I'd have to say last year I met more members from the forum in any other year...Palm Springs, and then pretty much everyone in DC was from the forum as well.

Chris was really kind to show me around DC close to my birthday over the summer, which was really nice (he couldn't believe I was so skeptical of how nice he was...but I had to let him know that I have a fear of #1 being in a passenger seat, and #2 being driven around in an unfamiliar city). It was nothing personal. Wish you the best this year!

I visited a relative who's health declined significantly toward the end of 2013. Anyone who has gone through it, my hat goes off to you. Sometimes we just have to be thankful that one can get out of the bed and stand on your own 2 feet.

What a hell of a year it was:

1. I traveled more than I have ever done in my life. I began the year staying at the Atlantis in the Bahamas. I never spent so much money but it was worth it to be with my family for the first time in 4 years and the Atlantis is an amazing place.

2. I took a trip to Korea, for a week, 1/2 the time in Seoul and 1/2 the time on a volcanic Island off the southern coast. A trip I will never forget especially a week with my son.

3. I spent a week in Chicago and met a year's worth of guys, yes, yes the term slut comes to mind.

4. Went to Graham Elliot's in Chicago wow a tasting menu and a surprise tour of world class kitchen to close an amazing evening.

5. Unfortunately I spent the holidays in bed with pneumonia, but saw a great movie to end the year in Saving Mr. Banks, that took me right back to growing up and big does of nostalgia.

6. Finally I began the year by meeting a kindred soul who has become an integral part of my life, Chris E. and it has only grown throughout the year and for that I am eternally grateful to him.

2014 will get off to a bang too as I get to visit Mr. EOY on his home turf and do something I never thought I would do in my life when I go to the DC luncheon, nervous as hell about the trip but what the heck you only live once and I am determined to push my borders.
