This ad pushing enrollment for the ACA reminds me of Andrew Christian ads for underwear. I think it's clever and fun, but, while I'd love to buy AC underwear, I can't figure out why "they" thought this ad would make me want to buy health insurance. Any ideas? Is this only directed at young, beautiful gay men? Is that why I don't get it?

There has been a lot of discussion that the exchanges won't work unless they get a mix of young healthy people signing up that won't use the insurance that much yet. If it's all older people with greater health care requirements, it'll go broke.

obviously aimed at young, vacuous, immortal gays who don't think about anything serious....like health insurance

aint that the truth

shoot me if I have to sit through another young gay speech about how great lady gaga is

Going back to these three URLs from the sponsors of the AD(shown by a link in the Youtube video above) will provide us some color on the org and their objectives:

The video can certainly at least be a reminder to those that keep putting "everyday" to-do's off......

I don't understand the furor. A consulting firm that works for LGBT health produces a YouTube video promoting enrollment in a health plan and uses young, attractive models to do so. What is the problem with that?

Of course, it has been blasted by the Log Cabin Republicans, the only member of a political coalition working to repeal Obamacare. They accuse the advertiser of "stereotyping" gay men.
