2nd Los Angeles Hooville Meeting - Date?

Guys, we have been talking about Thurs Aug 27th, but someone brought to my attention that the next day starts Labor day weekend, and alot of guys go out of town, a few days early. Would the following Thursday, Sept. 4th be better? I realize we won't get a date that works for everyone, but Let's see who can make it which dates and then decide, so everyone can plan. James, your the event coordinator(since you did so well at organizing the first one, so we will defer to your wishes!

Yeah, still thinking on this (though it's just as much up to you guys)... here are my thoughts...

 

I like the end of the month, if there are in fact more available because they 'need rent money'. Then again, the meeting isn't really about picking up a Numbers regular, just nice to have something to look at...

 

Having it in September would mean skipping a month, though not by much. (As a plus, we would have two meetings that month...)

 

I certainly don't want to exclude any charter members if we can help it.

 

So I guess the 4th, although the 2nd may also work...? We've still got plenty of time to decide.

 

Sheesh, if you guys spent less time in Rio and Montreal! ;o)

Hehehe! Yeah, I think the only thing not making it obvious as a flashing neon sign was that we were way in the back, around something of a corner. We will almost certainly be in the same spot next time, though it's not a particularly formal restaurant (hmm, you'd never know, what with the hustlers and all... ) so just come on back!

 

Even I was happy enough with how easy it was to pick out the working boys, they were the ones in muscle shirts, right? (Is the only difference between a muscle shirt and a tank top what's under it?) Everybody else was dressed for a somewhat pricey restaurant.

Sorry, I didn't read the post carefully enough, but meant to convey that I am fine with whatever the world wide gad abouts need. Two Bits Worth

 

There are approximately 10 regular to semi regular posters among the escorts in Los Angeles. The "Numbers" crowd, rent due or not, tends to be a different sort of crowd. If you want some of us escort there, I would pick an Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening, if that works for the clients. I, for example, would be open to attending one of those days. However, at this point in time, I am tentatively considering travel elsewhere labor day weekend.

 

This gathering should primarily be for the sake of clients who posts here, although I assume you would enjoy meeting some of us. Perhaps we can finally get Mr. Hagen to travel south of Sunset Boulevard.

 

I vote for mid-September for what it is worth, or August 18th, 19th or 20th.

We're leaning towards Sept. 4th for the meeting, with another one near the end of Sept.

 

Everybody is welcome. I tried to invite some established escorts to the last one, but the couple that even responded took some offense to the idea of going near Numbers. I don't see why this would be, it really is a pretty classy restaurant, just has a nice view... It doesn't 'reflect on' any guest, we wouldn't assume rates or anything else changed just because an established escort stepped across the threshold (not that we'd say no to a discount... )

 

I've been especially trying to invite traveling escorts, this would seem a great way for an out-of-towner to spend the evening talking with friendly locals and maybe picking up another client or two while in town (though there's no pressure or urgency).

Gosh - I remember about a hundred years ago when the discussion got going about having a get-together of the HooBoy posters in NYC. It was going to happen, then not, but I was a lot more involved in posting here back then and kept up with everything. I so much wanted to go and meet the people I'd read so much.

 

I haven't posted in a while, and it's been a lot more sporadic at that. And you're having get-togethers on a regular basis in LA now.

September 4th!

 

The 2nd meeting of the LA chapter will be Thursday, September 4th. Any that can't make it that day are expected to be at the 3rd meeting, probably Thursday, September 25th (this is a tenative date). We'll be at the back of Numbers (by the windows, come on back) in West Hollywood, starting about 7:30 though it's fine if you can't show up 'till later, it'll probably go on for 3 hours or more.

 

Escorts, clients, posters and lurkers all welcome, though an RSVP when we get closer (I'll start a new thread) would be good.

 

I don't think Numbers was too put out by us taking the biggest table then not filling it, certainly better then the other way around, so hopefully we can do that again (except for the not filling it up part!).

Ok LA Chapter...thought the next meeting was on Spet. 4th but saw a post by FRIGATE BIRD..er...Tomcal last night that said "see you on the 3rd" So when is the REAL meeting and is it still WHERE it was going to be? Just asking. I am so upset about testing as Brian Kinney that I can't see str8. AHEM. I mean..uh..nevermind.
