another racy "romance novel"-style review today, this time for Tony of San Diego....

"reached for the zipper to unleash the monster within"

"drawing him further into my mouth until I could take no more"

"his tongue entered my mouth, playing a dance to bring me to a heightened sense of urgency"

fun to read, I guess....

When the reviews are that long and contain that much flowery language, I tend to doubt how truthful they are. I think Daddy should put a limit on how long a review can be - some of them are "War and Peace".

I suspect the reviewer got a lot of pleasure out of writing that review - and if that provided motivation to write the review, then I'm in favor of it! I'd rather have the detail, even if the style is not my preferred, rather than 'Had a wonderful time. I'll keep the details to myself'.

(Plus, any limitations on length would likely disqualify Okie's masterpieces - and that would likely provoke a rebellion here! ;)

I don't understand the problem. I found the review a pleasure to read, even if the author's writing style left me chuckling just a bit. I was also sexually stimulated by the review, which is saying quite a lot given that I'm not a bottom and the escort doesn't really appeal to me. Was the review gushing? Sure. But isn't that part of what makes an entertaining, as well as informative, review? I've written lengthy, gushing, and I hope informative reviews in the past ... and they're that way because the encounter with the escort left me sexually "gushing." In my book, that's a "good thing."

Dude that is a load of crap. What you prefer, I hired, he fucked and he left. Short enough for you. As a person who has a significant amount of reviews I like to write what I feel and it is usually at least 3 paragraphs. How else do you want to get a feel for the gentleman? I like writing the review. It is like reliving the experience. Okay so its a bit of novel if you dont like it dont read it. But to assume it is fake because a person is reliving their experience is crap. I have never received a comment from a gentleman yet saying "Oh please don't say that much no one would believe it."

I’m afraid that most of my reviews may appear, too many readers here, to be long winded epistles. Thus I am most definitely a member of the groups of readers who prefers that reviewers write too much rather than too little. I also find totally worthless reviews that state something like, “He is wonderful guy but I will leave what transpired between just the two of us”. Frankly I don’t get the point. Really, just tell me what the f--k happened and don’t worry about blushing because of over explicitness we can see you anyway.

everybody has their own style, of course....

as mentioned, the "what happened behind closed doors shall remain private"-style reviews can still contain helpful comments, but do leave us hanging!!

and I certainly don't think this review was a fake, but the style seemed unique/humorous enough to mention in the forum....

I think the review referenced here was a hoot! LOL! Much ado about nothing! Just write the review as you like it and let those people who dislike florid prose or, on the other hand, concise, not too graphic detail, “suffer” through it! Making rules about length or brevity in a personal opinion is quite foolish. You want more detail? Less description? You write your review in your style (bodice-ripper or plain/technical) but don’t censor mine! There is actually quite enough room for anyone to express an opinion whatever writing style they may choose. What’s next? The grammar police editing each review? Ha! Ha!:D

There actually IS a limit on how a review can be. The limit is the amount of wording you read before you stop.

My personal favorite was "The condom was filled with him"...

That was my favorite line, too.

For the record, I tend to skip the long-winded reviews.

A while back I criticized a review that sounded like a PR release because the review didn't come off as credible. Someone noted that the review was submitted by someone with 5+ reviews, and the reviewer himself popped into the thread to affirm that the review was legit. What reinforced the reviewer's credibility is that he left the Velveeta at Costco and basically reworded the review in straightforward English. I didn't have a problem with today's review of Tony SD because I never doubted its credibility. What matters most to me is whether the reviewer is an actual client who did indeed hire that particular escort. Reviews by well-known reviewers (e.g., Okie, Jawjateck) make a world of difference.

While I admit I enjoy reading some of the naughty details of a session, that degree of detail isn't necessary, at least to me. I do have a problem, however, with NO detail, e.g., the two-sentence "he was hot; sex was great" reviews. Those (non-)reviews are worthless to me because they give you no idea of what the escort was like or if you're likely to have a good experience with him. The Tony SD review was great - credibility, lots of detail - enough to know that if I ever hired Tony, no guarantees, but a good chance I'd have a great time as well.

I love romance novels too....

I read the review with breathless anticipation knowing that the brilliant imagery would heighten my guiltily pleasure of perching unseen, unheard, and unfelt in the corner of the room as the erotic description pushed me ever higher, and then higher into this world of perceived pleasure that seemes to never end.

In the end, I was spent, breathless, drained of all hope of being able to continue on. But it was necessary, because who could predict what may follow to bring me to even greater heights of temptation, of longing, and of the perceived carnal debauchery that I hungrily awaited.

Better than the 25 cent video arcades of yester year, far cheaper than the hundreds of miles of cruising up and down Santa Monica Blvd for a brief respite with a cute you man with the elusive feel of danger of plying my charms. Is he a Cop? Is he a Mugger? Will he drain me through and through, to fling me along side the road, spent, penniless, and with a wide smile that lasts for days, hours, or perhaps even minutes.

If you do not like it, do not read it but let the writer do his own thing. You can "speed read" through it to get an idea about the experience. Personally I hate the reviews that are not descriptive like: "I will keep what happened between us" or:"He appeared; I came; he came; he left."
