The idea that Stock dancers make $3000 to $5000 per night is absurd. Just do the math: Lap dances are $20 each, and last the length of one song - roughly 3 minutes each. In order to make $5,000, a dancer would have to do 250 lap dances, requiring 12.5 hours!!! Stock is only open from 8 pm to 3 am, so even if the dancer did lap dances continually for that entire time, he couldn't come close to $5000.

Some dancers do "overnights" outside of Stock, and can earn extra money that way. But that constitutes prostitution, which I am certain the management of stock would not want to admit to. And even with an occasional overnight, it would be impossible for a dancer to reach the $5,000 per day level!!!!!

The top dancers can make $1,000 (or slightly more) on a really good, busy night (ignoring "private" show outside the club). But the average dancer, on an average night, makes far less than that. Some of these guys go home with $200 or less in their pockets. But even that looks good, compared to the wages paid on other unskilled jobs. For example, if you make $10 per hour in a regular job, and work seven hours from 8pm to 3 am, you will only make $70, before taxes. So by that standard, even $200 per night tax-free looks pretty good. Lol.

Stock is in the news this week for the number of dancers (4) who have died in the last year. Not a terribly well written or researched piece but interesting. They blame it all on steroids, and suggest dancers can make $3000 - $ 5000 a night!
