This sounds great, but, someone needs to pick the date pretty soon. I need to plan in advance. Also, who is going to be the "point" man to make plans for a dinner, suggested hotel etc.? I know someone who is very good at it.. I'm not sure that he can be talked into doing it however.

But I have a professional commitment on the 7th now for my regular job that I have no control over, the next week is about the only chance I have to finish a personal project I've already spent about $5K on, and I have appointments the following two weeks for escorting.

I've been exposed to Chicago weather over the years and it depends a lot on the year and what you have your heart set on doing. In late September you may be able to lie on a beach in something very skimpy with others who also are wearing something very skimpy. However, there is always also the chance (it seems less and less recently) that fall might rear its beautiful face. Chicago's falls are really beautiful. I would just pack a bag, wear a light jacket on the plane and see what happens. I sincerely doubt with global warming that snow will fall and I mean, how much space does a speedo really take up?
