Well, to be fair to Mr. Donovan's memory, he was doing porn and, I assume, otherwise being sexually active prior to anyone knowing that there was a virus being spread that would ultimate cause so many people's early deaths. I don't think it's fair to fault him for not practicing safe sex in an era when most sexually active gay men had anal sex without using condoms.
