Desiree Alliance is requesting proposals for workshops and presentations in all areas of expertise in the erotic professions and adult entertainment industry. Our business track offers multiple opportunities to present your business savvy, and we encourage submissions from current and former adult entertainers and erotic professionals from all areas, genders, backgrounds and ethnicities, as well as professionals in fields of expertise related to sex economies (photography, web design, business acumen, etc.). We prioritize proposals that would appeal to a broad range of people. This is your opportunity to showcase what you know. Come share your expertise on what you do best! We also ask you to consider how this would impact you and your business. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase, promote, and get the word out to hundreds of conference attendees of your work.

a few years back, political media campaigns started allegations that CL and BP were promoting sex trafficking, by having sections of their sites devoted to "adult services." law enforcement got involved and has put pressure on them to close down their sections. a ton of escorts who advertised in those places were affected.

 

by the way, the Desiree Alliance conference is going to be SO great - I'm really excited. our main keynote speaker is Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, the tranny who threw her shoe at the cops when they raided Stonewall (thus starting the riot and the modern LGBT movement as we know it). but just to let you know - there really aren't any weekend events. sunday the 14th is just registration which starts at 3pm, and then cocktails at 7pm. (I know you like CockTails, but if you miss the cocks and tails there that one night, I'm sure you'll survive...)

 

monday is the keynote speaker in the morning (Miss Major Griffin-Gracy!), then anti-racism/anti-oppression seminars, and then a pool party that evening.

 

tuesday thru thursday are the main days, with all the sessions that'll blow your mind (some taught or led by yours truly). there's a party thursday night, and then friday people take off.

oh gosh - I didnt realize this thread was still up at the top. although now it seems to have been moved out of its "semi-permanent" location, so hopefully it wont have to remind you all about something that was almost 3 months ago!

 

a full report? heh heh, Diverdan... that ain't gonna happen. the event was really only for people working in the industry. it dealt with topics that cover the gamut of sex work, from the political to the personal. there were topics on health, safety, and psychology, info for newbies and those leaving the profession, sessions on business and harm reduction, plus items specific to male, or female, or trans workers. to be honest, it wouldn't be appropriate to go into conference content or details on this forum. we are related - us escorts and clients - but sometimes we need our own space to discuss our work. hope you guys'll understand. I can tell you that post conference surveys rated the event very high.

 

let's see, what can I tell you personally? well, I had an absolutely fukkin' fabulous time! great talks with Daddy. man, did he give a fine presentation on the Daddy's Reviews study. I made a few matchmaking arrangements, pairing my friends Tyger and Diego up with me in our 3 man suite - which became sex party central on a number of occasions. yep, even though it was a conference we are, after all, horned up escorts. downtime was often spent, well, going down.

 

Diego and Ty and I all like women too, so there was a lot of pussy play. that week, I had more sex with women than men (sorry for you dudes that don't like to even think about this) - I met a ton of great girls, and felt very much in my own bisexual element. I got even closer to Diego and Tyger than I was before, and that was amazing - I feel so lucky to have both of these two fine, and beautiful-on-the-inside-too, men in my life. did I mention how FINE they are, too?? LOL.

 

I taught a few sessions, ran several others, and as is always the case, learned much - both about the industry, and myself. Tyger and I ran a session called "Frontal Youdity" where we were naked and encouraged people to share things they ordinarily wouldnt share with others. it was a hit - very emotional, very raw. several people broke down during it.

 

vegas was ridiculous, as usual. after the conference I went on a road trip with two of my close friends - Natalie (she's on my site) and Diego, and saw one of the most visually arresting sights of my life. I can't discuss it here because it was a) something specific that I've shared with my family, and b) it was illegal. so please dont ask me what it was here. we were like Sal, Dean, and Marylou in On The Road. sexing together all day and night, sleeping piled in one bed even when there were two, loving and laughing and getting crazy together for a full week. anyway, that's my own post-conference experience and probably doesnt need to be here - sorry, I've digressed.

 

Beau was at the conference, my webs designer Adam was there, Natalie, Madeleine from DC, and Hawk Kinkaid from NY. I made a new friend who just got listed on my site, too - Violet. I saw so many old friends and made a ton of new ones, too. there were amazing acro-yoga daily sessions. I went around to most of the event nearly naked. when I wore shorts, they were a pair of white thin-material gym shorts, with nothing underneath - a good conversation starter, it turns out. by the way, if you hire me in a warm climate and want me to wear them with you, just ask... the final night's pool party was a scene out of a movie - hundred of hookers galavanting around in all sorts of (un)dress, doing all sorts of stuff. I almost got kicked out of it...
