What's with the Paucity of Posts at the Various Forums Here?

It's 7:58A in California, and I just happen to be awake and at this site. In my perusing the titles of the various forums and going through

those of my interests, I find that many of the forums lack recent posts at the innumerable threads. It's winter time throughout the Northern

hemisphere; would this NOT be the time for many men to be at their computers and taking in what's provided for us here?

 

What's your take on this? {I must add that I do come here daily when possible, but I DO NOT spend my endless moments at the computer.}

I think some of the forums should be combined. Like all the Travel forums should go in the Lounge, and Deli and Spa should be one forum. There would be more eyeballs and more posts.

Personally, I like having the Travel and Lounge separate forums. I think the "Deli" and "Spa" are separate forums because many massage therapists are not escorts and there is concern about jeopardizing a massage therapist's license by making comments of a sexual nature. However, LookingAround makes a valid point. Many posters stopped posting thanks to other posters who often had difficulty playing nicely in the sandbox.

 

I suspect the volume of posts will increase. This is not the first time we have seen an ebb nor will it be the last.

My thoughts exactly....I have always enjoyed this site and most of the guys(Gals too) who post here...but there was a time not too long ago where I thought it wiser to just shut up...

Seriously though, JJ, jawjateck, and josephga alone contributed many posts here. None of them post anymore.

If you go to a poster's profile it tell not only the number of total posts, but the number of posts the member has averaged per day since joining the forum. Interestingly, I have remained at a steady 1.2 posts per day for as long as I can recall... So at least I have been somewhat consistent even though I don't post at the same rate as does Brooklyn Guy or Axiom to pull just two names out of the hat. In any event, it is interesting to compare such statistics.

 

At any rate, I think posters tend to post at a higher rate when they first join... and then things fall off. Also, I have noticed that some post in spurts for a variety of reasons. As an example, I have been on vacation so having a bit more time on my hands I have been posting a bit more over the past few days... For others it might be just the opposite.

 

Still, I have noticed a decrease in the number of posts as well... and I definitely think it is due partly to those who don't like to play nicely in the sandbox...

 

Now, an understatement! Has anyone noticed that many escorts... and some favorite escorts... don't come near this place with a ten foot pole anymore???!!!

I agree, and I have been disappointed that so many of our well known escorts no longer post... I suspect it was because of the constant bitching from some, but I miss their posts. Hopefully they will come back one of these days. I do know that there are a number of guys who read but no longer post.
