But you listen to opera. That's one thing that bothers me about opera. Words are important to me. Even though nowadays they usually have translations above the scene, the non- English still bothers me. The other thing is that the music is usually so difficult that you can tell these people with beautiful voices sound strained- especially the tenors. I'm not fond of that 'strained' sound of voice.

I have heard recordings of professional operas. Often to me, their voices sound strained. I favor a more natural voice. I'm not usually fond of rock singers when they strain for a note either. Sometimes it does fit the song. But I'm fine if you don't agree with me. I don't know a lot about music in general--and opera almost not at all.
