I won't address the question of "who...is Pink?" She has been around a long time and has had a pretty good career. Google or Bing can provide the answer to that question better than I can. But here is a link to some background on the guy in the video:

Obviously, it has escaped my notice. I doubt I'm missing much.

Thanks for the link leeper. I have always thought she was wonderful. The article on the guy in the video was an interesting read. Sadly there is the gf, would have been more fun if he was "Family"

Guys, thanks for the links to the hot video and good article. I"m a P!nk fan too and am looking forward to seeing her concert in Vegas Feb. 15th. One of my favorite working guys is accompanying me--should be a great time.

i am not a Pink afficionado but some of her music is pleasantly memorable. Without sampling, why be dismissive? Opera is certainly passed over by many who dismiss it as snobbish and elitist. I would probably be one of them, had I not been introduced to it by those who love it and if I have not given myself the opportunity to learn and enjoy. Perhaps if you listened you might return here and post Pink: Who Knew?

Anyone For Hairband Artist Solos?

A little off the subject, but when I heard this song--I kept thinking this sounds vaguely familiar. It took me a few minutes because it's not a current song, and it's been awhile since I've heard it. But here it is--"Just Between You and Me" by Lou Gramm formerly of Foreigner. It was the 1989 hit from his second album "Long Hard Look"--thank gosh for the Internet allowing me to look it up quickly. I know it's not an exact copy of Pink's song--but I think you can hear some similarities.

Take a look at this performance. Those are live vocals, not lip-synched. There is nobody else like her today. I think she's the new version of Liza or one of the other old-time great ones who could actually sing and dance at the same time.

Because most contemporary pop music is rubbish, that's why. I don't need to sample it all to know that. Some I enjoy.

Anyone who passes over opera as "elitist and snobbish" is just being a fool. Opera has stood the test of time (it's been around more than 400 years). To compare it to contemporary pop music that is here one minute, gone the next, is rather silly.

I missed the American Music Awards, but I saw her performing one of these high flying trapeze acts and singing at the same time. It's quite impressive from afar ... :)

And if any of you haven't seen this awe-inspring live acrobatic performance (again, all live vocals), check it out:

P!ink truly excels at modernizing the circus arts -- loved this performance the first time I saw it, and I loved it just now. Thanks for sharing.

Most of the stuff she's doing isn't that technical or difficult ... but having to do it with a microphone in your hand ... jeesh

I did not suggest you sample all pop music, i asked why one would write a dismissal of a particular music, in this case Pink, without sampling it. It is not the music, its the uninformed dismissal which led to my comment. Well, back to my copy of "EVerything's Archie." Just cannot get enough of that "Sugar Sugar"

Thanks PK...this put a smile on my face today on this rather gloomy and rainy LA morning.
