In looking at the threads and the postings for them in "The Gallery," I am damned perplexed. The contributors' threads are highly viewed, yet

they invariably and on a daily basis receive very little feed back. I, personally, am elated that the men {and/or perhaps some "real" women

view with glee, yet they have been loath to write something regarding what they'd viewed with apparent interest.

I thank all of the contributors. Keep up the stellar work. I, for one, will continue to peruse what you've posted, and when I find the need,

which seems to be daily, I'll definitely respond to your ardent contributions.

Have a wonderful and very memorable Holidays 2012!

Ax, your viewing and comments are Always much appreciated, and I personally thank you for always being kind to my Galleries. I too am aware that my pic posts receive many views, and this is what keeps me posting them. I hope everyone viewing them enjoys them as much as you do. Its similar to the other Forums if you look..... many, many views, but the same handful of respondants. Most people on this site are voyeurs and Not participants. Maybe they are put off by the Drama, not interested in the topics, or simply just not participatory ? I am certain that there are topics on this site that we All pass over at times. Hopefully some of the "lurkers" will be drawn in at some point ? Its always beneficial to have new viewpoints and perspectives, which is what will keep the site Fresh and interesting. Thank you for supporting my Gallery endeavors.

JJ, I look at your photos everyday, but only respond when there is photo that completely stops me in my tracks.

I am glad this thread was started, because from now on I will give more feedback, including perhaps 'no one turns me on" on occasion. The key things is that I very much appreciate your daily photos, even if I seldom comment. And you are right that most threads receive far more views than comments. Thanks again.

William, I know about your viewership habits as we have spoken privately, and as I told Ax, I very much appreciate EVERYONE that views my gallerys, comment or not. I have always been of the school that people should do what they are comfortable with. If viewing and not commenting is your style, then so be it. However, if viewing and jerking off is your style, All the better. These are IMO are about entertainment, and if you entertained, I've done MY job !.

All this time I've never noticed there was a "view" number. Thanks for pointing it out. But in looking at the numbers, the percentage of posts to views in the gallery isn't really that much different than the other forums. It seems to be average about 3% to 5% Look at this thread, for example, it's the same.

I've addressed (yelled about) this before: there's nothing more frustrating than asking a question that begins with "Clients, what do you think about ____?" and three of them respond. Yet 997 of them will come out of the woodwork to wish someone a Happy Birthday, discuss the same three escorts that floated everyone's boat this year, or talk about the homeless escort from Brazil (who never answered any emails, by the way).

The statement that a post is an invitation to dialogue is spot on, and it seems odd that so many people take the time to come to a site dedicated to companionship and interaction but don't participate.

The problem IS, when people do participate, if their opinion is not a favorable one, they are often attacked, ridiculed or called some heinous names. Those offended members will then run to Daddy and demand the contributor be Banned, because they are not playing nice and succumbing to forum pressure. Why would you want to offer your opinion in those cases.? Better and safer to just "lurk"....

I see of late that the guys who initiated the "Gallery Great Pix's" are of late more or less missing.

1 Person making 99% of the Gallery Postings really doesn't need comments everytime he posts IMHO.

"Irish and his Blog Posts" are my Favs at this time and that's the reason for my always commenting!

Like I have said in the Gallery when looking for "Visuals" of Purdy..Muscle Service is MY Choice!

Yes, I am always surprised by the number of birthday greetings I receive on Facebook from people who never comment on my various posts on Facebook that I care a lot more about. But, I have leaned to live with it; at least I hear from people once a year.

I am happy to see this thread, because I too want to re-iterate my appreciation of the threads in the gallery. I enjoy the pics and want to express my gratitude for the time and care it takes to find, organize and post so many great pics. As to Ax's point about the ratio of responses versus views, I agree with Charlie that pic threads prompt a different response from written threads

A thread I started some years ago on Fridays has of this morning 18,446 views but only 420 responses. I imagine the thread would get a bit too much if all 18,446 viewers had posted something. I am thankful the thread has been popular enough that others are now posting offerings as well, since I have sometimes run out of stuff to post, and I am grateful to those who do put up something because they are all things that have made me laugh.

For those who post in the gallery, please accept my appreciation and consider the view count as my way of saying thanks so much for the HARD work.

Thats an interesting comment William, because for many years before the advent of E-card and text messages, I experienced the same situation with "mailed" greetings. Each year I would send out cards to people I would NEVER hear from but once a year, when I would get a card back. I developed the opinion that this was the most insincere form of friendship from people or distant family members who really couldnt care less, and were merely going thru "polite" mechanizations in returning a card. Needless to say, now my list has been cut to BARE BONES, having eliminated all the dead weight, and leaving only those people who truly want and enjoy having me in their lives more than ONE DAY a year. And I still MAIL my special occassion greetings, like birthday, anniversary and Holiday cards.

I guess it was sort of like when you're rentboy of the day (which I'm not all too eager about the worldwide exposure that I get). You get 900 views within a matter of hours, but maybe 2 or 3 replies...and usually someone just 'bookmarking' not actually booking. Of course it's a start...

Not sure why anyone would need to comment on a bunch of photos about guys they don't know. Then again, there's sites dedicated to that kind of stuff where people can leave tags and photo comments all day long. bigmuscle, twitter come to mind along with the various freelance model websites :-)

I think responding to pic threads is more about revealing a part of yourself than actually responding to the fact that the poster shred them. It lets the site members know what types of men appeal to you, which also can shed some light when you reply to some of the other topics dealing with escorts, etc.... None of us that post the pic galleries are looking for thank yous. I personally enjoy putting the galleries together, and appreciate the comments, but they are certainly not expected. When only a handful of people will respond to traumatic, life altering subjects such as the kindergarden shooting, how can we think they will reply to frivolous postings of naked men pics?

I have always been a strong supporter of the extremely hard, time consuming work that the posters put into our pleasurable experience. They deserve to be rewarded by responses of any size with appreciation, constructive criticism, or just a plain Thank You. I recently have not been as responsive as in the past, but that will change soon and I still am so appreciative of their hard work and dedication to Forum members.

I appreciate the Gallery postings as well as many other posts that I don't comment on.

I respond to posts when I have something to add or contribute, but I don't think it helps anyone to reiterate ideas or opinions that have already been posted, or to respond "ditto," "hot!," or "+1." In fact, I think it detracts from an interesting topic when you've got to scroll through page after page of irrelevant comments to see whether the conversation is going anywhere constructive.
