So sorry to see the brief discussion about an escort responding to reviews shut down. I didn't see a loss of control in that thread, but that's me. It seems Mr. Hagen may have offered a reply "try-out." IMO, he should have known better.

 

Just when you think you've read it all here, I don't recall ever reading an escort speak openly about his reluctance to offer an "official" response to a review. And I thought Mr. Hagen's leaning toward not responding was seriously misguided.

 

Now, granted, if an escort offers an official response, it validates the review site and the process. I can understand why some escorts may not want to do that. But when an escort stands proud of his positive reviews and clearly supports the site in other ways, why on earth would said escort feel reluctance to "set the record straight" on any issue relevant to customer satisfaction?

 

People say a lot of silly things about labeling. It's as if they have no clue how the service industry works. When I sit down at a restaurant to eat, I don't simply say I want "dinner." I read the labeled items on the menu and order accordingly. No different when I visit a spa and order the type of service I prefer. The service industry is not real life. When I shop for a service, I'm not shopping for a husband. Labels in the service industry are crucial. Ignore them and you invite the fury of the inconvenienced customer.

 

If penetrating the butt hole is off limits to an escort, I, the paying customer, want to know that before I book. You're not required to post this information in your ad (although it is very helpful), but you better be honest about it in our communications BEFORE the appointment.

 

I often wonder if it's possible for an escort to respond to an ad under any circumstances. I don't think I've ever seen an escort respond by saying "thank you" to a glowing review. Maybe such a service would burden the owner further. I sure hope the escort does his best to contact those reviewers privately. The value of an honest positive review is priceless.

 

And finally, I view ALL escort responses as a positive indicator. It may not be the holy grail and/or produce favorable results, but I read every word of those responses, and many of those responses cause me to flick the "must hire" switch. IMO, responding to reviews is worth far more than a decade's worth of Rentboy ad fees.

I've always thought that butthole was one word, not two. Otherwise, I agree with what you have to say. Escort responses often go a long way in helping us get to know the escort, and would seem to be an integral part of an escort review website...or is it web site?

A Response always puts the Working Guy in a better light. That being said most of us can figure out when he is just trying to spin a Bad Session into something other than it was. Again we all make the choice whether he would be a good fit for us!

I agree with BG. Escort responses are sometimes just going to try and spin a bad review to their favor. I also do agree with Lucky that the escort reponse can provide some insight into how the escort handles himself in an awkward situation. Some handle it better than others.

I think the subject of this thread is pretty clear, but I'm happy to explain it further for those who might be challenged. The subject of this thread is "Escorts who respond to reviews." I don't believe this was the subject of any recent thread.

 

Yes, there is another closed thread where this topic was briefly mentioned along the way, but it was not the focus or the subject of that thread. I see no reason why the subject of "review responses" can't stand on its own. The only reason I mentioned Mr. Hagen in this thread: he is the escort who inspired the subject. If that bothers you (directed to any reader), feel free to replace his name with any other escort's name. The point of this thread will not change. I did not post this thread to re-litigate the subject of the thread that's been closed. And to me, intent matters.
