Ditto. I know the "real" names of most escorts I know and they know mine, but I still find myself thinking of them as their stage name.

I'm not an escort... but I do know the real names of some of the escorts I've seen. For those escorts in particular, they've told me they don't mind which name I called them. However, I usually use their real name in addressing them.

And actually it can get even a bit more complicated. My partner has now met 5 or 6 of my escorts in very social settings, using their real names. Now I'm going to have to go through a crash course to train him to use their stage names when we gather for the DC luncheon since several of them will likely be there. I'm having to work backwards from real name to stage name.

As Jason and Lee have put it so well, it all depends on the relationship and the setting. Why do something that is not in the best interests of all concerned. In this case, it is up to the escort to decide how he wants to be addressed in different settings. I have seen it work both ways, but I always follow the lead of the escort... he deserves that respect and privacy if he wants and needs it, especially if the escorting is only a part time thing and he has another job.

I just go by their professional name. It's easier~ If they invite me to address them by their real name, I will but, always in public address them by their professional name unless they request otherwise~
