Last night I was playing cards at the Bike (Los Angeles card room) about 4am I headed to the restroom to do what most do in that place.

 

There was a very hot asian guy standing at the urinal, he was late teens early twenties about 5'8" ... well he never left the urinal. The cop may be wired and be a decoy. I know in Maryland that is what the Baltimore police used to do in the bad old days. They would have an officer as decoy in one block and a block away and with a radio to listen to, they would trap people.

I am POSITIVE this wasn't a sting. I really would appreciate your thoughts on how to go about making sure the guy was interested in some action ?

Based on...ummm...my past experience }( , I'd say there's a 99% chance the guy was looking for some quick action. One option in your situation would have been to make eye contact and then walk into a stall, make sure that he sees you doing so, and maybe even give him a gesture with your head, as if inviting him to join you. Had a similar situation at the Gaiety in NYC which is different because it was a hustler/dancer not a casual civillian hookup., the urinal there is out in the open next to a sink so if you use it, pretty much you are on display for all to see. Typically, if I see one of the performers in there I don't stare at them or engage them in conversation unless they initiate (just as a courtesy since they aren't on stage, they deserve some privacy).

So I see one of the dancer in there the other day, I stick to my rule, he starts up with "Hey dude, whats up" while he's still got his dick in his hand. There was another guy in there as well so it wasnt like he was dying for company. Smalltalk ensues. I half expect him to be trying to get me to do a private at that point but he never gives any indication along those lines (if he had offered I likely would have gone with him actually).

As a fellow veteran of the T room scene, yours has been the most intelligent, right on the mark response I've read here. I was just going to reply the same way.

 

From my experiences, and without knowing the layout of the place, I would say that the guy was definitely not a cop because they ususally only bust those areas notorious for action and where the general public (i.e. kids) can walk in and see the action. Not the case in this type of locale.

 

The guy was definitely looking for some action. Now whether he was looking for some quick cash to go gamble with or whether he was just horny and looking for free action, I guess we'll never know.

 

The most important thing would be to make eye contact, as you say, as that will tell you all you need to know. The stall would be the place in this situation since there seemed to be a lot of coming and going. If it wasn't real busy you could just go to the urinal beside him and take it from there (reach out and touch someone).

 

Believe me, he wasn't standing there all that time letting you watch him in the mirror if wasn't searching for some action. But then again some guys are into exhibition and like to show it off, without necessarily be looking for action.

I have not seen the show 21Jump Street, so I cannot comment too much. But, I am sure it is as realistic as most TV cop shows.

 

The cops in the show go undercover in high school bathroom to catch boys trying to cruise each other? It must have been a morally uptight city to devote police resources to rid the school of such scurge.

ALso you are correct about this NOT being any type of police sting. It was inside a card room where you need to be 18 to even enter. Plus, the guys buddy was about a healthy 5-7 minute walk from the restroom. No one was even standing remotely near the front outside area of the door.

 

The reason I know all of this is because after washing my hands for 15 minutes I hung out outside for a few minutes to check out the situation. It was when I re-entered, deciding I really had little to lose by approaching him, that his buddy came in. I was ready to jump his buddy for fucking up my nerve . Since he couldn't see his friend come in he was somewhat startled when he heard the guys voice.

 

Anyway, I looked for him last night, he wasn't there. I might try again tonight.
