What happens to former porn stars/escorts?

I was thinking recently about many of the hot escorts (some of them were porn stars such as Josh Weston, Ivan Andros, Marcus Iron) and wondered what happened to them. I live in the SF area, a major gay center, and SF has a thriving porn industry and studios like Falcon. I never did run into any gay porn stars in the SF area, but I did run into the straight porn icon, Jamie Gillis, on our subway.

 

Does a career in porn harm future careers? We see how some porn stars developed drug/alcohol problems and died early.

 

One hot escort who got rave reviews was Braeden Casey, who did some porn. He retired, and was in school when I hired him.

 

Just curious if anyone knows what happens to ex-porn stars. I was shocked to find out then how little they really made, and I doubt any of them could really support themselves solely on porn.

They Move On.. their choices were their's and most live with the likely hood it may bite them in the ass in the future. The Stigma though is not what it was Year's ago..

You might want to check out the documentary AFTER PORN ENDS. It's a new documentary that just came out recently. I bought it on iTunes but haven't had the chance to sit down and watch it as of yet.

I know of at least 1 Gorgeous Brazilian Ital/German who worked under the name Klaus in Miami who has been practicing Law for a few year's now.

A man I saw frequently escorted to put himself through college. He's taken a job as a school teacher while he works on a graduate degree.

Didn't want to end up in debt and heavy demand on time didn't allow for 9 to 5 work.

 

He volunteered summers to help recover stolen WWII art and return it to rightful owners. A true class act plus he had a very big, tasty dick.

Two guys I have known both ended up finishing college, moved on to other careers, one in the medical billing field, the other into nursing. Both escorted because they 1) loved sex and 2) enjoyed doing something they loved to pay for school that they have difficulty otherwise paying for. That they each were smart with saving, planning, and the move onward with their lives was another testament to what great guys they are.

Steve Marks runs a real estate office in DC and apparently is happily partnered. Tag Adams (at last report) was in DC jail awaiting charges involving a minor (the sword has covered this), apparently not doing well with being bipolar and a major meth user. Dean Coulter runs a day spa type place with his partner in Vermont. Someone else whose privacy I wish to respect went back to his day job and then went into high end retail. That exhausts the guys I can think of, off hand, but it provides a diversity of outcomes. I'm guessing some guys needed to scratch an itch, while others did it as part of needs that they couldn't manage in the long run.
