Last I checked (as in one minute ago) Mikey's advertised rate is $200/hour (at least in his home base area), not the $300 you attribute to him. I always stay at the Royal Palms Spa and resort. All gay and incredibly well run. it is in the heart of everything and 1/2 block from the beach. There are however dozens of gay resorts to choose from, assuming that is what you are looking for. If not, I have never stayed at a non-gay hotel.

 

As far as the Boardwalk is concerned, it is about a 15 dollar cab ride away in Wilton Manors. Use cab company 333...they are the most honest and all the gay bars call them exclusively.
