How do I delete a thread I started?

Once in a while I post a new thread and after hitting the send button I realize it has an error. How can I delete it?

Open it again. There should be a button at the bottom for "Edit" or "Delete".

Yes... Be warned, finding the reset button can be a bit of a problem, there are many imitators...

I would like to retract the thread I started congratulating a poster for reaching the 5000 post mark (now 5999), but, it is past the cut-off date. Could you delete that for me, Daddy? Thanks.
