Sorry for starting the thread. My deepest apologies to all.

 

Travis, dont be silly. Although I know your post was well intended to be something light and fluffy, and a departure from seriousness, I knew from the start how it would end up.

 

There are too many people on this site vying for position of "Grand Marshall of the parade", and just cant participate in a lighthearted way IF the attention is not focused on THEM.. While I can defend calling a person out when the occassion calls for it, something like THIS didnt need to end up with people attacking each other. Why does participation on this site NEED to be a competition for some ???? Why do you feel "Newbies" need to pay their dues to be accepted ??? They should be embraced from the get-go. Boner, I get you. You are sly with wicked wit, and you really dont take this too seriously, and will no doubt butt heads with members who clearly have sticks up their ass. Please dont let a few bad apples spoil your bunch and deter you from continuing here. And to Travis, thank you........ but hopefully THIS will be a learning experience? And NEVER apologize for something that was done in good spirit and intention !

I did not expect Boner to absent himself from the board. Perhaps he is just taking a break, but I do want to encourage him to keep on posting. People have their differences from time to time, but rarely is there any permanent damage.

I previously expressed my expectation that we could get along just fine, and I expect that we can.

Knowing Boner, he wont be Deterred OR Discouraged by a difference of opinion. He is much bigger than that, and can definitely handle himself in THESE waters. The sharks really AINT that big !
