Well this is interesting. Did you really mean a dilapidator, something that causes ruination or a depilatory, something that ruins hair. While some might feel these are one in the same at times, clearly the recommendations would be very different.

I met up with JJ and BostonPhil last week at The Bistro for a lovely dinner, and after we had eatten—we had a spirited discussion on dilapidators and whether or not their use ultimately left one feeling unrequented.

 

My vote was for itchy.

I normally shave my balls with shaving gel and a disposable razor. then trim and shape the pubes with small clippers and a level 2 guard. I recently purchased all the professional grade supply's & now offer not only massage but manscaping and waxing services. I hope to offer it as a upsell to my massage business or better yet a full business of it's own

I have tried shaving and Nair...both worked absolutely splendid. Shaving was a little easier, but you have to take your time. The Nair took a couple of applications....but I loved the feeling of 'no hair' down there....ooohhh, felt very sensual!!

I use to be a swimmer and had gotten use to not having any body hair, in fact I cannot stand having it. Don't mind it on other people, just can't stand it on myself. I shave my entire body about every other day, it takes me about 45 minutes. I would expect it to take a little longer until you are use to it. Always take your time, pat yourself dry and to quote one of my favorite Dr. Who characters "Moisturize me! Moisturize me!" I prefer the Vaseline Aloe lotion myself. Buy some TendSkin, it does work wonders if you notice your skin is a little irritated.

 

If you're just starting out, I would suggest getting a Philips Bodygroom. Use that for a while until your skin is use to being more exposed. It is also better on the crotch than a razor.

 

Choosing a razor, don't get a woman's razor. Don't get a any women's shaving products. They are vastly over priced and gimmicky. I know many women who choose to use men's shaving products over women's and the logic is the skin on your face is much more sensitive than the rest of your body. Men's shaving products are designed for your face, therefor they are designed to be more sensitive. Don't cheap out on your razors, you don't want a single blade razor. At the same time you don't want one with too many. I find three blades to be more than sufficient and I don't use the refillable cartridges. I don't use the razor more than one time, I am using them on my entire body and I don't want to risk them being dull the second time out.

 

Waxing or shaving? That depends on you and a lot on where you live and the estheticians in your area. If you're going for the chest, arms, legs then you should have no trouble. If you are going to get a brazilian, you must call or email to ask about experience and training with men. You do not want them ripping your balls up. You can always ask your friends if they know any one.

 

I hope this helped, and I will probably turn this into a more detailed blog post at some point.

I agree on the Fusion Hydra Gel Shave Gel also hair conditioner is great to shave with. I'm not a fan of body hair on me either. I trim the pubes with clippers with a 2 guard shaping it up , shave the balls with a mach 3 and Fusion Hydra Gel Shave Gel. then I wax the rest of my body myself about every 6 weeks.

Jesus—I've made so much money off body hair, I should have it insured by Lloyd's. I tried shaving once and it itched like a motherfucker.

 

I used to shave my chest and it would itch like fuckin crazy also, but now I bought a really expensive hair clippers, and put on the #2 blade. Now when I shave my chest it doesn't take it all the way off, just looks and feels like a lot less, so there is no real re-growth process. It works fantastic for me. So while I don't have a completely shaved chest, you can barely see that there is some chest hair there. Most guys I have run into though, want me to grow it all the way out.

If you are naturally hairy, stay that way. I love hairy guys !! But, I know a lot of guys who are naturally without hair, and I love them too !! However, I really do not like it when a guy shaves his body, because there always seems to be some stubble. I also like a clean shaven face, no beard, etc. Maybe it is just me, but those are my preferences. I also find that hair in the groin to be very much fun to play with and it keeps those areas more sensitive IMHO... but to each his own.
