I would like to congratulate our buddy Lee and the man he loves on their first anniversary of their life together this weekend. Lee is a great friend of the Forum, but, more importantly, a dedicated personal friend to so many of us.

Well, of course we should congratulate a couple who manage to stay together for that hard first year. Having almost 30 of them, I can tell you- it never gets any easier!

L.B.T. was and remains my only face to face with any member of the Message-Forum. I am blessed. He is a true Gentleman. I can only wish the best for my friend of Virginia. Oh, yes and he introduced me to Dane Michaels and Ryann Morgan. Dane Michaels, a true Stud American Hero and Ryann Morgan, the hottest twink ever (At least in my book)

When the time came, Lee didn't just step from the closet, he charged out... and landed in the arms of a man who by all accounts is a wonderful and a great match. Very excited for the both of you. Congrats on that first year, and the many more to come!

I have not had the privilege of officially meeting LBT... it seems that every time we are about to meet we are crossing different state lines and are moving in the opposite direction! However... and ironically so... our paths did cross for a fleeting moment many many years ago... and I specifically remember the occasion. Now with any luck I will soon not only get to meet LBT, but his significant other as well... and I know it is a good match as one can feel it in Lee's words... and he has never sounded happier!

I want to thank you all for the warm wishes for my anniversary with my guy. Last night was wonderful. Dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in Old Town Alexandria with NYTomcat and The Legendary Dave. And now the rest of the weekend is just us, at a quiet little restaurant, a local gay bar for a drink or two (it's right next to the restaurant) and then to a hotel just for time for us.

 

It really has been a remarkable journey for me. To come out so late in life and then, only a few short months later, to find someone who is such a perfect match for me. I am very lucky. I know it isn't every gay man who has been out his entire life who could deal with a newbie like me. And I know not every gay man would be comfortable meeting my escorts, men who I have been so intimate with. But it is no big deal to him. What matters is what we have found with each other. What I have found is the love of my life, a man I want to share the rest of my life with. To have found that so soon after coming out of the closet is unbelievable. I never cease to be thankful for what I have found so quickly.

 

Again, thanks for the warm wishes for me and my guy. It means a lot to both of us.
