South Beach Club and Hotel Recommendations??

I spend the winters in South Florida, living in Miami for the last 5 years. The gay scene in SOBE has faded seriously and most has shifted to Ft Lauderdale. Things perk up during the White party and the Winter Party if you are into circuit parties. Otherwise no strip bars per say altho Twist has dancers on certain nights. The only strip bar of note is in West Palm Beach, Cupids, where the boys take it all off a-la-Montreal or Toronto. But that's miles away from Sobe (over an hour by car). Zippers in Miami is the more traditional Florida strip bar like Boardwalk in Ft Lauderdale, no frontal nudity. The dance scene has also faded in Sobe. Frankly, you'd be better off in Ft Lauderdale, IMO.}(

I need to correct a piece of misinformation in my message above. Zippers has a $10 cover and the guys do take it all off. Several of my friends have been and say if you like the latino types you may be happy with the place. At Cupids the cover is $5 and while there were one or two latinos the night I was there several weeks ago, there was a good mix of talent, both local and imported (i.e. from New York and Montreal).

What is the address for Zippers? I could not find an ad for it. We went to Boardwalk Friday night and it was fun. The boys are aggressive and all you get for your buck is a peek at the dick, plus their attention until they have the money.

SOBE is pretty but boring for gay stuff.

Right now I am cruising the seas on the Atlantis Cruise with over 2000 gay men. But I can't leave my friends at the message center behind! I am on the boat with my lover playing married couple. It is an interesting mix of guys, and a lot of enthusiasm. The ship is great but the food and service suck (so far).

I see that key West is throwing a street party for us on Thursday so that should be fun. Any of you live there?

Zippers is on 77th St east of Biscayne Blvd (Fed Hgwy #1) close to Biscayne Bay (northwest of Sobe) on the mainland.

jack, I didn't say I want to get off the ship, but the cruise does end. Right now I am having a blast. I have never been around so many circuit boys (Not that they know I exist!)
