Why escorts choose most expensive item on the menu?

Pick Me! Pick Me! Ribeye Steak and Vanilla Ice Cream!

Gee that isn't what you ordered when I took you to Billy Reed's. Of course they may not even have Ribeye on the menu. Probably too tough for the rest of their crowd. :)

I think there's a significant difference between expensive and exorbitant. Once when I was treating a guy to dinner, I knew he wanted the dry-aged ribeye because he was a big steak-lover, but he was hesitant to order it because it was $20 more than any other entree. I chuckled and insisted he order it because I wanted him to enjoy the meal. Like others have said, if I wasn't prepared to pay for a nice meal, then I shouldn't extend the offer. Oftentimes the yummiest-sounding items on the menu are also the most expensive (yeah, funny how that works). If my guest wants the foie gras appetizer, the lobster, dessert, and some Macallan 18 (as long as he drinks it neat - LOL) to polish everything off, fine by me! I like the suggestion of "the _____ (most expensive app or entree) sounds good ... " as a subtle way of communicating to my guest that he should feel comfortable ordering whatever he likes.

But if my guest went totally over the top -- $400 Ossetra or Louis Treize -- I'd have to draw the line and tell him he can order it if he wants, but he'd have to pay for it. Expensive is fine, but exorbitant is rude. Fortunately, I've never had to deal with an over-the-top situation, and I hope I never have to.

Let me clarify:

- The dinners were moderate to expensive, NOT exorbitant.

- I was fianacially able to pay for those dinners, and happy to do it for my guests

So the question again is, why did they choose the most expensive items?

Id be a cheap dinner date: love that chicken from Popeye's

Me too, and those little white Castle burgers. The minced onion and mushy bun makes me cream my jeans....

Because maybe thats what they had a taste for, and you INVITED them to dinner..... "If you dont wanna play, dont enter the game".....

I feel it is safe to say based on various responses here and my own personal experiences as well that not all escorts will select the most expensive items on the menu so if you have run into a number of guys who are then I would say that is an aberration. Is there something common among these escorts that might give you a clue as to what is happening? Are they all very young and/or inexperienced? That may help explain it to some degree as there are those that automatically tend to equate price with quality, or they may think it is a way to show they have class because they appreciate the finer things in life. Or as jjkrkwood says, perhaps that is what they had a taste for and nothing more or less can be made of it. Sometimes I order something different and unusual on the menu as I am intrigued by it and it just so happens to be the most expensive item so I can understand how that may happen to others as well. I would just look at why you seem to have had a number of escorts that are doing this as I do find that a bit unusual.

We can go back and forth on this issue for eternity, and speculate all we want. However, bottom line is that when you extend an invitation, it should be unconditional, not something you are doing merely to get to spend more time with the escort at a "cut-rate" cost of a meal. BUT if there is some concern over cost, make it understood from the start what the limitations are (although this is a bit tacky). Or simply select a restaurant whose prices you know you are COMFORTABLE with even IF he selects the higest priced item on the menu. When you stop to think of it, most of the dilemas presented on Daddys site have VERY simple, logical solutions. Most just take some common sense..... When I invite ANYONE out for a meal, I always anticipate that they MIGHT order the most expensive thing, and i am prepared to ante-up !

Well.. one well-known guy selected the place... a diner... and ordered French toast... and that was for dinner... It was his call...

Regarding having breakfast for dinner...

Yep a kool dude... and actually it was last year... and it was doomsday eve... May 2011... So that ironically would have been our "Last Supper"... Well, let's just say we made up for it later in the evening... and went for broke with "other" activities"... just in case...;)

So basically, it WAS a meat and potatoes meal ????

I more than once had an escort in from PHL who was an attractive young lad. Could there be any other? :) He once told me that on a week-end trip he was served nothing more than corn flakes 3 times a day. He obviously "survived" this indignity and I thought it a "wonderful" story.

This strikes me as the "ultimate" in how NOT to treat an escort and, of course, I never treated him this way or in any way other than as a "special guest" to my home and environment.

Best regards,

KMEM

I had a weekend client pull a bag of rotten stir fry vegetables from his horror of a refrigerator, and when I literally gasped—he said, well does going to a restaurant suit you?

Having taken some escorts to dinner recently, both pre and post-coitus, why do they order the a la carte? And the most expensive item they can find? Filet mignon and flan seem to be common words I have heard uttered.

Power trip?

Filet Mignon and Flan? Where are you taking them? Sounds like a place where Bette Davis and Sinatra hung out ... Bette ordered the flan and Frank enjoyed the cherries jubilee, followed by 2 unfiltered smokes. Perhaps the young men only recognized those two items? On a separate note, what's wrong with ordering a Filet Mignon? Perhaps you should choose restaurants where you are comfortable with the prices?

Since the escort is extremely "specialized", a fact that you continue to ridicule to this day, I gave PRIVATE reviews to ALL the interested people that contacted me asking for one. Do you understand NOW, or is your one remaining brain cell finally DEAD too ?

As someone said before, the most expensive item on the menu is often one of the best. That's especially true for filet, which I'll order at almost any steakhouse, along with mashed potatoes.

Moreover, the most expensive part of the meal is usually alcohol, so if the escort is going easy on that, you're better off than if he orders a good wine and a cheaper entree. For example, no matter what I order, I tend to be a cheap date since I'm a light drinker at best.

I do know that if you order USDA Prime-graded steak and no sides at one of these upscale steakhouses and only water to drink, the place loses money.....if that makes any of you feel any better!....

I find it highly ironic that someone will pay $200 and up for an hour of sex, and then bitch about the cost of a meal. It's like having a banana split and a diet soda.
