Why do guys shave their arm pits? Is this sexy?

I'm noticing more and more guys are shaving their arm pits. Is this considered sexy now? Now mind you, I LOVE a perfectly smooth muscle (yeah, chelsea queen!) guy ... completely smooth muscular torso, completed smooth muscular legs, completely smooth and hairless bubble butt and hole. But there are only two areas I insist on seeing some hair:

 

1) The pubes. (It can and should be trimmed, but don't shave it.)

2) The arm pits.

 

I don't even require hair on the head! But it's gotta be on the pubes and the pits. When I see a muscle guy lifting his arms up in some pose and his arm pits are completely shaved, to me it makes him look feminine.

 

Do you guys think this is sexy? Is this just a temporary fad (that will hopefully end soon)? x(

I was lucky in that i never had much body hair to start with,but always shaved my pubes and armpits,for me its a simple hygiene thing nothing more the last thing i wanna smell whilst getting down to sex is the smell of old sweaty armpits (yeuch!).

I don't find shaved armpits at all sexy. One thing that always gets my juices flowing is when I catch a glimpse of some hot guy's hairy armpit. For example, when he lifts his arm while working out in the gym; especially if the guy has very dark armpit hair (now, don't say yuck! )

 

Personally, I DO use clippers on my own (blond) armpit hair, since it does help control odor.

I love totally shaved muscle dudes -- I don't think shaving by itself is feminine -- it depends on the guys attitude. I just want to clear something up. If you ask me my preference, that's one thing. If you ask can Li'l jack come out to play even if the guy is shaved, that's another. (the answer is yes BTW). So I guess you could say I love all sorts too. But I also agree with the poster who complained about nubs. If a guy wants to shave to bring more definition to a body he has worked very hard to develop, fine. Just keep it smooth. I do love the armpits, can't help it. I love 'em so much I will take them either way. But my Preference...well.. that's another thing..

This question is too hard to answer. The minute I say I love a smooth shaven man (and I do, oh boy, do I!) a hairy dude walks by and I melt. And vice versa ....;-)

 

The truth is some men were just made to be completely shaven and smooth; on others, the hair adds a great deal.

totally shaving everything doesn't look good to me. You need some hair somewhere.

 

Rather than shaving I prefer to trim. No one wants to do a blow job on someone and have to go through a jungle to get there or get a mouth full of bush.

 

Trimming your pubes, especially if your very, very bushy is respectful for the person who will be down there

 

the same applies for the armpits. i don't mind completely shaved pits but if someone is very, very bushy, of course you should trim. it isn't has important as trimming the pubes but it is up to the person.

I always keep a few pics up on my site that show my (hairy) pits because it turns out they're a real selling point for a lot of guys (who knew you that pit-sniffers could single-handedly pay your rent? ). I think shaving them would lose me a lot more clients than it would gain me. That said, I think shaved pits can look good on a very muscular guy, or someone who's really pushing a twinkish look. Generally, though, it does seem to be one of those places where the mind instinctively expects to see hair. At least on men. By now most Americans get the heeby-jeebies (sp?) when they see hairy pits on a woman, which is a fairly rapid development when you consider women having been shaving their pits all that long.

I recently have noticed a guy's arm pits more and prefer at least trim pits. I, myself, shave my armpits, chest and stomach. I don't have a lot of hair (if they grow out, you can practically count them) and experimented with shaving my chest, then stomach, and finally armpits, over a course of a few years. I was reluctant to shave my pits, but I now prefer the clean-shaven look for my upper body.

I also don't have a lot of hair on my legs, but that's where I draw the line. However, I have seen some runners who do shave their legs. As they run you can see the definition in their leg muscles and I find that quite sexy. I also think a guy with a lean, defined body and shaved pits, is also sexy. IMPO a guy with a nice body can carry it off well.

I'll second that. Nature knows best. If you're naturally smooth, fine. If you have lots of hair everywhere, keep it.
