I was struck by a magnificent review today of an escort in NYC who I happen

to have seen more than one time. I'd say he might be excellent for other

ciients, but not for myself.

The escort is a very, very nice person. However, the reviewer gushed praised about

the ability of this person to hold long, intelligent conversations.

Unless the reviewer spoke fluent Spanish, this was a crock. The escort cannot

speak English very well at all. I also know that his room-mate takes care of all of his

correspondence and "business affairs."

If the review is simply concocted by the room-mate (which was probable, although not of course a proven fact) then I would say the entire review most likely can't be trusted, either.

I'm just venting. Perhaps others can put this in perspective.

Here's some perspective. The reviewer you call into a question has a history writing reviews dataing back to 2002. Very unlikely that it was written by the escort's roomate as you imply. Instances of fake reviews are generally (though not always) tied to "first time" reviewers. Nothing about that review reads as potentially fake to me. The escort in question also has favorable reviews from other long-term reviewers.

One would question why you saw the escort multiple times if he wasn't the escort for you. Once is usually enough to make that determination. And that perhaps you doubt the review for strictly personal reasons not based in fact. Reviews are a snapshot in time of a paticular person"s experience. Reviews in no way guarantee that another client will have the same experience.

I myself have come to doubt both the escort AND the reviewer. A local escort that I know VERY well here in Michigan, that I have seen probably two dozen times or more over the past several years, recently had two reviews posted here that mention things that they did with him that I know FOR A FACT he does NOT DO!! Another escort that I had questions about (and posted the question here) pretty much lead to two PM 's I received...one stated....yes, I have met with him...stay away, he is ok but looks NOTHING like his pictures, the other on was....yes, I have met with him...his pictures are spot on and he looks EXACTLY like his pictures...he is HOT also....guess my point is BOTH escorts AND clients are liars. The tough part is being able to determine which ONE!

If the escort is the one I think it is, then note that he recently received negative reviews on this site after an encounter that involved violence against the client. So the working guy would be looking for some favorable publicity. Just sayin'.......

Over the last few years I have posted 4 or 5 reviews, however I am not sure how useful they are. When finding an escort of have 3 rules - 1: Review on Daddys; 2: Escort from Dave at MantoMan; 3: Comment on the forum from a 411 request. I visit from the UK to USA 3/4 times a year on business so getting the right guy is important to balance work demands and leisure time available. Over the years I have a small group of regular guys I like to see but occasionally like to try something new. My reviews tend to be about the guy as a companion - I hate eating alone so dinner is usually part of the experience - I do not concentrate on what happens "in private" in the pool or bedroom. But what are the essential ingredients of a "good" review. Thanks.

Interesting question. I'd say that each person has their own opinion as to what should be included in a review. Some reviewERS prefer to keep all private/intimate parts to themselves and not share with "the world" while others want to share that portion. Some reading the reviews want that to be in the review so they can get an idea of what the escort "gets into" or doesn't enjoy doing, if they can hold a conversation, are worthy/safe to take in public, etc.

I was with a client today who wanted to write a review, however was not comfortable in sharing our private time with other readers, go figure. That may help me but could also hurt, depending on who the reader may be.....if that makes sense.

I've never met the escort in question. However, I do speak fluent Spanish and don't think it's too far-fetched to assume that this reviewer may also speak Spanish. I agree with Scorpio that nothing about this review sounds fake. If it is indeed an authentic client review, it is unfortunate that you have casts a negative shadow on this escort and the reviewer without any proof whatsoever.

I'm a little surprised that none of the other reviews have mentioned any language limitations. I note that there is an older review by a forum member - perhaps he will comment here.

I will comment here.

When I first met Edin née Marcelo his English was somewhat limited. He has since taken many courses and should be very proud of his accomplishment. His English is perfectly passable now, very up to the task of conveying what a warm and engaging fellow he is.

I have seen Edin three times: twice in 2010 and once in 2011. I wrote a review of him (which posted on 10/08/2010) that described my first encounter with him; one could reasonably classify that review as "gushing" ... which would also describe how I came with him. He and I have had 3 excellent "dates." I understand some haven't had that kind of luck with him, and the very negative review on 01/19/2012 was a sad one for me to read. But that doesn't change the fact that I have enjoyed seeing Edin three times, and that each time he was a gentleman, a sexual dynamo, and a hell of a lot of fun to be with. I would't mind seeing him again, and will if schedules allow for it.

In 2010, when Edin and I first met, our conversation depended upon a mixture of English and Spanish ... when his English faltered I picked up the slack by switching to Spanish. Between our first session together in mid-2010 and our third session in mid-2011 Edin's English had improved. While in bed we still shared intimate (and "dirty") talk in Spanish, nevertheless he was able to hold a significant conversation in English prior to, and after, the "festivities." It would probably still be helpful for someone to have some facility in Spanish when dealing with Edin, but I seriously doubt it's requisite to having a good time with him.

For the record, since 2005 I've written reviews here for: Mario Roma, Aaron Mark, Peter Hung, Koi, Sidney Rama, Brandon Michael Williams, AJ Irons, Edinsol, and Kyle Vong. So, I'm not a "First Time Reviewer." Well ... I was, 7 years ago, with Mario Roma. But not when reviewing Edin.

Is there a way to search a reviewer's history of reviews he gave?

That's a good question. I don't think such a feature exists, but I would love it if it did.

You can use Google, but it's not fool proof. in the search field type the reviewers handle plus the web site address, such as:

Thanks! That was an interesting way of searching the site. When I ran it for myself it caught a LOT of duplicates of several of my reviews, and did catch most -- but not all -- of my reviews. My older reviews (particularly of Mario Roma and Aaron Mark) were not caught in the search. I wonder why?

It would depend on when the review was written. Reviews written during the HooBoy era are not available, which is why most of the reviews I've written are no longer available. Also, Daddy seems to do housekeeping on escorts with lots of reviews (such as Aaron Mark) and the older reviews get dropped. I think your Mario Roma review may still be...I noticed a review written by a DavidD...any chance you used a different handle originally.

I've checked. My review for Mario Roma is still extant. It's the oldest review still on his review page: #60, dated 04/06/2006. I posted it under DavidDD (left out the 49).

My review of Aaron Mark has been moved to "page 2" for Aaron, found after a hyperlink click at the bottom of his main review page. It's #49, posted on 12/11/2008.

This is incorrect. Older reviews may get moved to a secondary page so that the newest reviews page loads faster, but nothing gets dropped (unless there is a valid request from reviewer or escort, or an error which should be mentioned to [email protected]).

Please don't spread misinformation.

Thanks.
