Yeah, this guy has been on my radar but there have been some weird things going on with him. His ad listed therapeutic and sensual when he first came to LA but when I called to talk to him and set up an appointment, he said that he didn't perform sensual massage at all, much less nude massage. I told him that was cool but that 80 dollars was a tad steep for a "just" therapeutic massage in my opinion. After that he took the sensual listing off his ad. Just a strange bit of vacillation on his part especially since he did nude massage for you.

 

Now, you said he agreed to a nude massage but did he agree to a happy ending or a sensual massage? They're different things and communication is key to understanding a therapist/masseur's concept of sensual or erotic, nude or not nude, and a host of other things. Also, why tip him if you didn't enjoy the massage at all? I certainly wouldn't have. I would have paid him full price because you stuck it out for the hour but tipping him when you were displeased? No, no no.

 

Such a shame because I liked his look but if his massage skills are under par and he can't decide on his product, it's a pass. Sorry you had a bad experience, my friend. There are good guys working in LA and I know you'll land on one of their tables soon. Let us know if you want any recommendations.

Tipping a guy for a massage is normal for me (at least $10 or $25 if superior service over the price). Just my upbringing. My paretns instilled in all of us since we were children to always be generous in tipping people who provide a service.

I'm sorry to hear your experience about Grant. He was always a very sweet guy, reserved and a bit shy, but very good at what he did. Had several massages with him when he was based in Phoenix. I wrote a review for him on a massage website. He is a licensed aesthetician as well as masseur and as he used to offer body scrubs and facials; I have tried them as well. My experience was all great massage, all nude, all sensual, and all fun. Not disputing your experience and feedback, just wanted to say it was not mine.

It seems that I am not his "type" (physical) of customer he is looking for. I didn't act anything inappropriately. And always asked him for permission if I want to do anything; that is why I allowed his taking off the underwear happened only towards the end of the massage. His attitude towards me started at the very beginning when we met.

He used to escort under the name Jack Lyons, and he had very good reviews for years. I met him for a weekend once probably 5 years ago. I won't say it was my best experience, but it definitely wasn't my worst. He has a bit of an odd personality- but I probably do too. When I met him he looked pretty much then like the pictures he shows now. He is an incredibly handsome guy.

I am sorry things didn't work out for you. Not sure what Grant's type of customer is specifically, as I am of the aging, overweight, schmuck variety myself. I would say that his mood can certainly vary. He has been very quiet to chatty with me, and no real explanation of the difference, although he always performed. Best wishes for better times!

Burke Williams is a chain of spas located in and around Los Angeles. They are fairly upscale, nice decor, soothing atmosphere, and at least for me the staff has always been impeccable. they offer a variety of services, facials, wet room mud and oil baths etc., however all facilities service both men and women. The spa is divided into separate areas and is very straight. I have heard rumors that at the West Hollywood location, sometimes the masseurs will go beyond a legit massage, but I have been going there for years and never once has anything happened that was inappropriate. The masseurs are used to the guys getting aroused and they handle all of that very professionally. It is however a nice relaxing get away from the craziness of the city, and if you are looking for the real deal in a massage, it can be very relaxing....

yes, exactly what bigcalboy said. To clarify, his massage was like a massage I would have gotten at BW...he was very on top of keeping my towel in place, no nudity, very legit. I was hoping for something sensual based on his ad, which was my mistake - there was nothing sensual about it. Afterwards, I wished I'd just gone to BW instead because then I would have also gotten to relax in the spa and sauna, etc. So I'd say he gives a fine massage that is completely legit, and don't expect anything beyond that. That was my experience.

I'm sure they just kind of ignore it. I'm betting it's not that unusual a reaction even with straight men. I mean you are being massaged mostly nude, greased hands are gliding over your body.... Not all straight guys obviously but some.

I'll never forget one experience at the WEHO location. Went there for a massage and some spa pampering. The massage therapist was tall, blond, total California surfer look, just a gorgeous guy. So we get through half of the massage and he tells me to go ahead and flip over and of course I was showing just how happy I was with the massage at that point. He just glanced down, draped the towel back over me, patted my leg and said "Hmmm, I'm doing a better job than I thought." Then we both kinda giggled and moved on with the rest of the massage. Total pro. As BVB said, they're used to it and each one has their way of handling it.

Nope. I mean, I guess it might have been, but we just finished up the massage and that was that. Still a great massage though. I wasn't looking for a sensual experience at the time anyway, though he was GORGEOUS.

If the chemistry is not right, it can end badly for both parties involved. Some clients are not clean, are not friendly, and can easily hide behind their computers, with no photos, no number. Masseurs put themselves out there, and can be victims of bad customers, who are rude, insensitive, and aggressive.

 

The saying "The customer is always right" is not always the case.

He has wild mood swings. My first time he was enthusiastic, all nude OK massage with lots of extras. He cancelled second time. The third time, he was fully clothed, me fully draped, strictly legit and very quiet. At one time, his ad said for in shape men only. I think in a previous thread, a poster stated he did not accept Asians. I'll leave it for others to find out which personality will show up next. He's gorgeous though!

Maybe not, but as a masseur that's the job you've taken on. If you just want to massage the hot guys you've missed the point of the business.

As a masseur the burden is on you to make the chemistry work. What you're describing is more like a hookup. There are a few masseurs and escort who really should be on Grindr instead, and work out some sort of compensation system to cover the difference if they don't think a trick is hot enough.
