Just to be clear....I meant skiing....as in riding in a chairlift and coming down a snow covered mountain with ski's strapped to your feet.

The 35th annual Aspen Gay Ski Week begins on January 15th, it's a great way to go on a solo ski trip without actually being alone. Outserve will be having a gay ski week at Crested Butte the same week if you have a military connection, then there's Whistler, Telluride, etc. I tried bringing an escort that I knew to Aspen one year and it did not go well. The one gracious thing he did that week was to make arrangements to leave a few days early. He was an OK entry level skier, but didn't know how to handle himself at an upscale resort. He would disappear at parties, always "over" order at restaurants, and act like he was doing me a favor at night. Anyways, at all the ski weeks there are visiting "masseurs" who advertise in the programs or drop off leaflets at the registration area, and occasionally an escort will post on M4RN. There is also a whole community at these resorts who look forward to having the "gays" because of their "generosity!" If you see a couple of Frenchmen in powder blue stretch pants and 10 gallon hats, follow them because they always end up at the best places. It's true that the snow pack is only about 1/2 of what it should be, but most Mountains have most of their trails open and their grooming techniques still allow for some great runs/rides, etc.

I don't ski, however I do snowboard and have been for about 12 years! One of my favorite things to do.

I would think an awful lot of us escorts enjoy skiing. even if only occasionally. While I'm in awe of really good skiers I don't think it takes much experience for a fit or athletic person to just have fun skiing. Whatever one lacks in skill one can make up for in attitude and perseverance.

 

Hell just being outdoors on a mountain is a great pleasure but then throw in the adrenaline rush of barreling down a hillside and the only thing one needs to complete the picture is sex and maybe a meal now and then.

Mr. G, there is nothing wrong at all with being middle class. I've learned in the short time working at a fancy hotel that just cause one has money doesn't buy them class or manners.
