Well, I've been lusting over this fellow ever since the first picture layout popped up, unheralded, in one of the monthly skin mags. (Incredibly, he wasn't on the cover, just inside.) And the subsequent interviews and comments about him on this site make clear -- the sexiest thing about him is not his body (which is downright sexy) but his personality. He comes across as sensitive, intelligent, imaginative - sex with an empty-headed muscle-boy is no big deal, but sex with him would probably be ecstatic.

Anyway, I've been thinking of investing in a DVD of him in action, but the reviews in the mags have been all over the place. Some say he is not a particularly exciting performer on the small screen. Does anyone have a recommendation for which of his films are worth getting?

Matt's Performance at "Wet" in DC

 

Had occasion in June to see Matt perform at "Wet" in DC. He was super hot and had the crowd very charged up. Met him at a bookstore

during the afternoon before his Satruday nite appearance. He singed pictures for anyone coming to the store. He was so nice, an amazing lack of ego. He let everyone takes pictures of and with him. And I even got one pic with him after his performance at Wet when he was signing pics and he had his shirt off. He even reached and put his around me for the pic without even being asked to do so. Really, he was an amazingly nice guiy to everyone. :9

I've watched three of his Falcon videos now. He's great to watch, but

to me Rush does not come across as either a good actor or an interesting video performer. The other possibility is that Falcon Studio videos have become so programmed (4 scenes per videos, a lot of three and four ways) that few performers can break through and really make an impression.

 

Would love to see him in "Making Porn."

Falcon suffers from the same malady every other porn company suffers from, just with bigger budgets so their flops are more visible.

 

They use the "cookie cutter" approach to casting, rather than casting guys that really want to be together they pair "types". It runs across the board in porn. Hell, most of the time the guys don't know who they're working with until they get to the set.

 

As for Rush, I've said it before ... in person he's the sweetest and friendliest and sexiest guy you'll ever meet. He has an almost bubbly personality. On video, he's like cardboard.

With some studios the "cookie cutter" formula may just be the result of a lack of imagination, but in Falcon's case it seems to be a conscious marketing decision to produce videos in a particular style which makes both the performers and the videos largely interchangeable.

 

The good thing about this is that the resulting "product" is very predictable - if you happen to like Falcon videos, it really doesn't matter very much which one you get - they all look the same.

 

... and the bad thing is that they all look the same.

 

Falcon (under John Rutherford at least) also tries to make videos which will have as long a life as possible by trying to avoid any extremes of fashion, hair styles etc that might look horribly dated in 5 or 10 years time. This also contributes to a rather bland product.

Good point about Rutherford. I remember renting a Falcon video with Joey Stefano after dozen years ago where they had a slight story line and more dialogue: Joey and his lover go to a gay resort, fight and make up.

 

I have a friend who pays money to have access to the special features on the Falcon web site. The message board there is all lavish praise for Rutherford and the various Falcon models. (Who else but a Falcon fans would pay to join anyway?)

 

For anyone who enjoys this site, you probably wish for someone like ad rian to sign on and start throwing furniture at Rutherford and the worshipful posters. In fact, I might pay for a short membership for ad rian, if he lets me know what happens.
