I want to be the first to congratulate our buddy Lee for achieving the rank of DUKE. He has provided us all with so much enjoyment and quality input on topics, I truly believe he exemplifies what a Forum gentleman is about.

The only problem with this title is that it would be embarassing to you if they misspelled DUKE

Thank you so much Bill. 15 months, 5 days. Seems like a lifetime. And in many ways it has been my lifetime -- my lifetime as a gay man. To cross a threshold that only 7 others have ever crossed before is amazing. Deej, lucky, Rick Munroe, glutes, Axiom, JT in Brooklyn (now Brooklyn Guy who would be over 10k with both names) and the departed zipperzone. This place has become my home, the members my friends and in many ways my family. This can be a very special place. It has been for me. And I have certainly gotten more out of the forum than I could ever pay back. Without this place, I never would have started exploring who I am. That first post on August 28, 2010 started me on my journey that led me to come out and now have a boyfriend and future partner. This place has altered my life irrevocably. And I can't thank Daddy and Hoo Boy for it enough.

 

And I do love the color of my new orb.

Let me just add my congrats to Lee. As much as he has been affected by this forum...he has been a good friend to me both off and on this site....he alone knows the positive help he has given me....an often when needed most...he also has endured much negative crap from me and never returned anything but love in response....

No, I'm not 7th generation Richmond. Anything less than that would preclude joining CCV (that's THE Country Club of Virginia). CCV sort of makes DAR look lax in their membership requirements. And I'm certainly not upper crust wealthy as would be required for Windsor Farms. That's for the corporate CEO-type and old money. I'm just an average middle-class guy who certainly isn't worthy of old Richmond society. Duke-dom not withstanding.

 

Besides, I have to make it to Peer as quickly as possible. You can't have a Maryland grad have anything to do with anything named Duke, can you?
