Hoover, that's great. So as of now, with a couple of messages sent to me, we stand at 18 confirmed. And a couple more still awaiting confirmation. And at long last, our national nightmare is over. We have an equal number of escorts and clients.

Just a heads up. I've got a couple of other events in the works for the weekend that I hope to announce in another day or two. Stay tuned.

NYTomcat, Hoover, ArVAGuy, that's great that all three of you guys are coming back! it mustve been a very tasty lunch for each of you last year.

i hope you guys'll come back to The Fuck House for a tour of it afterwards.

oh god, what is he up to now? Lee i think you should furnish us all with engraved cards at the start of lunch, with attendee names, email addresses, a schedule for the day, and each rentboy's stats and fees. now THAT'S a takeaway present!

and dont forget about above-mentioned Fuck House tour when you make your announcement :)

The Luncheon is Morphing into The Weekend

EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!!

Given that so many guys will be in town for the whole weekend for Mid Atlantic Leather (MAL), i figured let's add a few things to the schedule. For guys in the DC Area (or who will be at MAL but can't make the luncheon), it'll give us more chances to connect and have some fun. So here's where we are.

First, as of this morning we have 19 confirmed for the lunch. Incredible. And there is still plenty of time for anyone else interested in attending to join us. A few days before the lunch I'll publish the list of the attendees. But even then, you can still let me know you want to attend at the last minute.

Now the additions:

SATURDAY

A slight change to the earlier plan. We'll be heading to DC Eagle about 10(ish). For guys in the leather community, it'll be a great time to meet. Now I'm sure Eagle will be on the MAL Bar Crawl list so it should really be hopping. Who knows what fun you can have there.

SUNDAY

We will start Sunday at brunch at the Article One - American Grill at the Hyatt Regency at 1030. The Hyatt is the headquarters for MAL so I'm sure there will be lots of guys in leather, but I don't think leather is a requirement for brunch.

Immediately after lunch we will head en masse to the Leather Exhibit Hall for shopping. If you've been interested in the leather community or getting some leather gear and don't know where to start, the experienced guys in our group I'm sure would love to lend a helping hand. I know I'm going to be leaning on them for advice.

For me the big addition is Sunday night. We will meet for dinner at 7 at the Black Fox Lounge. That will be a fun chance to connect with guys again. But the fun starts at 8 at Black Fox. Karaoke. We have some enormously talented performers on the forum and here you get a chance to see some of them. So far, Ace, NYTomcat and myself will all be performing. Join in and sing or sit back and watch and listen.

MONDAY

No changes here. Meet at Annie's for lunch at 1130. We'll probably get there between 11 and 1115 for a drink to socialize a bit before lunch.

Immediately after the Luncheon, the tour of the Dave's Fuck House. it's just a couple of block walk from Annie's. It really is the perfect place for in-calls so I encourage you to plan to take advantage of Dave's kind offer. Just a heads up. Dave follows the Japanese custom of removing your shoes once you enter the door. We could have an entire stack of shoes with this crowd.

I will publish a list of addresses (both physical and web addresses) for all the locations in a few minutes in a separate post.

There's still plenty of time to join in some or all of the events. The MAL Exhibit Hall and DC Eagle events, just show up. If you plan on being at the Sunday Brunch, Sunday dinner or Monday official lunch, let me know.

The response has been incredible and I can't wait to meet you all.

Hey LBT - my friend - any further word on dinner Sunday night. I would opt out of Chart House (I know its your favorite) but it IS a chain and IS NOT located in the district. There are some great places in the DuPont and 17th/14th/U St areas.

And, as the anointed Perle Mesta of this group, have you thought about a "seating plan". Since at last count we are about 2-1 escort-client I suggest the following pattern: escort-escort-client-escort-escort-client.....etc. :-))

Hey PB -- just look a couple of posts above. I've got the full schedule now. But for the condensed version:

Saturday (01/14) -- DC Eagle. About 10ish. Just to go and have fun.

Sunday (01/15) -- 1030 AM Brunch at Article One at the Hyatt Regency followed by shopping at the MAL leather market

0700 PM Dinner followed by karaoke at 8 pm with performances by Ace, NYTomcat and myself

Monday (01/16) - Lunch at Annies. Meet about 1115-1130. Followed by the tour of Dave's studio.

Sunday dinner/karaoke should be a blast. Ace, our newly crowned EOY, is not just a Rockstar Fantasy. He is a rock star. He has his own LV show and is a remarkable entertainer. NYTomcat is a frequent denizen of karaoke and piano bars. Another shouldn't be missed experience. Me? I'll let others say.

Can't wait to see you there.

Black Fox Lounge - on Connecticut Ave, NW between R & S Streets about two blocks north of the Q Street exit for DuPont Circle Metro station. Come one come all.

Thanks Poolboy. I'll make sure I get detailed directions from the Palomar before I head out. I get lost in Macys, so if you see an aging slut roaming around the streets, I'm lost, not the oldest escort in the world.

Well NYTomcat and I are planning a duet or two plus I have one or two songs that are special to me. And who lnows what Ace might have up his sleeve. So Sunday Night looks like it'll be a blast. Just give me a quick message if you might by there so I can get the table reserved.

So we are now about a week away from the start of the weekend. And The Weather Channel is out with their 10 day forecast which covers the luncheon and the weather looks good. Highs in the low 40's each day, lows in the upper 20's/low 30's. But the important part is no snow or ice. This is in line with the 15 day forecast on Accuweather for the same period as well as the forecasts I have access to from the meteorologists at my company. So it looks like we are good to go.

As of now, we stand at 19 people. Nine escorts, ten non-escorts. This really is an incredible turnout. DC we are going to beat Chicago's turnout.

I will be sending everyone a PM today or tomorrow with a bit of info and a couple of other small details.

There is still time to join in this amazing gathering. Let me know. If you can't make Monday's luncheon, please feel free to join us for the Sunday Brunch or especially Sunday night dinner and karaoke. Your one east coast chance to see Ace, Rockstar, newly named Escort of The Year, and Las Vegas showman, perform. And hopefully a couple of other special performances as well.

Gentlemen: I cannot believe the turnout. I look forward to seeing you next weekend, be it Saturday night at Eagle, either Sunday function or the biggie, the lunch on Monday.

Sounds like a great schedule lbt. Just one question. Some of us want to hit a dance floor. Maybe late Sunday after karaoke .... I don't know the eagle in DC. But NYC is not the dance floor kind of place. Does anyone have a good recommendation. Dave this is your home turf. And Steven your there alot. Any suggestions ...

Posted

TC -- the couple of dance places I would suggest are Cobalt (http://www.cobaltdc.com) which is just up the street from Annie's, or Secrets (1824 Half Street, SW -- and how sad is it that I don't even have to look up that address). Their website is http://www.secretsdc.com The advantages of Secrets (besides the fact that counryboywny would love to go there with you I bet) is that it also has a very nice collection of nude go-go boys. Sunday is usually retro night

But of course, a chance to see you and Dane on the dance floor alone would tend to make one ignore the nude go-go boys.

EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!!! NEWS FLASH

For those of you who are coming in from out of town, I just received a very kind offer from ArVaGuy for a specially guided tour around the DC area -- things you won't see on the usual tourbus tours. Places such as Eleanor Walsh McLean mansion - owner of the Hope diamond, the Exorcist Stairs in Georgetown, or the Einstein Memorial, or perhaps the Temperance monument. If you are interested, contact ArVaGuy via PM and you can set up whatever you might be interested. As an aside, I was going by the Exorcist stairs as they were filming the Exorcist. It made that scene, hell that whole movie, even creepier.

Thanks for the kind offer ArVaGuy. That's what the DC luncheon/weekend is about -- guys getting together in a social setting and creating connections.

The good news is that you can't catch temperance from looking at a monument any more than you can catch "the gay" by sitting next to one of us.

BTW, yes there still is plenty of time to join us if you haven't done so. We are now at 20. Always room for more

I think you should countryboywny. You should grab a bottle of anything but scotch and pour half of it on Temperance and half of it on Teddy Kennedy's grave...

I said anything but scotch because I believe the rumor that the Kennedy clan still makes 50 cents a bottle on every bottle of scotch sold in the US.

I dunno Lee, when I was 14, I jumped in a pool and grabbed a buddy from behind as horseplay, his response was not to try and break free but to reach back and grab my cock. I think I caught it...

Instudio, I'd say you may have been the hapless victim of entrapment. When the gay courts bring you up on charges, though, you could argue that you were led down the brimstone path by your friend and wouldn't have become gay except for his actions. But then the counter argument would be that he only set up the situation and you fell into it, so you must have had a predisposition for gayness. Guilty as charged, I'd say. Now what shall your punishment be? Maybe a spanking?
