As a relative newbie to hiring (and liking it...lol), I'll be interested to find out what I'll do after more experience. I've recently read here how much $$ some guys spend x( . Hey, we make our own choices }( .

I'm curious. Short of a survey, would some of you clients share your escort "habits"?? Do you: (a) find one (or a few) escort you're comfortable with and stay with him as long as he's working::9 , (b) totally sample the entire buffet :p , or © keep your options open, hedge your bets, whatever :+ ??

I know, I'm not a client, but I thought I'd open my trap :o here anyway. The majority of my clients are repeats or regulars (I hate the word "regular", though...it's right up there with "normal"). I'm not the best or most energetic at advertising myself so I don't get lots of new guys all the time but I tend to keep the ones I've met coming back (sorry for the dangling whatever...participle?). Maybe part of that is due to not showing my face in pics; when they meet me, it's kind of a shock that I'm actually cute. :p I know that made absolutely no sense; I just wanted to say that I'm cute.(I'm about to go to bed...my cockiness comes out when I'm sleepy/horny...don't mind me)

Personally, I tend to repeat with a few chosen guys. I only hire when traveling, and since I visit a few places with regularity, find one I like there and visit when I'm in town. That being said, I throw in a new one every once and a while too.

Well, NCM, you actually know my tendencies, but I'll answer for the class.

I like to mix it up with repeats (they know what I want, and I'm comfortable with them) and sampling new guys (don't want to miss out on anything, and I might always need another guy in the future to be a new "regular"). Right now, I have two guys that I'd consider "regulars" (in the past, it's typically been just one at any given time, but they are both total sweethearts, the variety is nice, and one is not local), and I typically hire one of them for each time that I hire someone new (although I'm thinking of adding a third "regular", which will likely cause me to cut back on new guys). Also, I probably hire most of my new guys when traveling. On average, I hire 2-3 times a month.

I have to add that I wouldn't be as active hiring new guys or as successful in finding "regulars" if not for this site and the insights that I gain from it.

Do you guys really think that posting here leads to work? If it did, why would I be one of the only escorts out of the thousands of escorts working today who posts here? I was referring to things most of the other guys do, such as having their own website, a mailing list, regular print ads, etc. I don't do any of that. I get offers all the time from free escort ad sites and I usually ignore them because I don't feel like filling out the forms. It was only yesterday that I finally got around to adding that link to my pics at the bottom of my posts, and I've been posting here for over 2 years. Sheesh! :p

Based On My Client's Self-Reported Behavior

I think the amount of discretionary income is a big factor here. Clearly, the more you have to spend, the more likely you might repeat with one or more favored escorts and also engage in the behavior of sampling new escorts. A client of mine has both a high labido and a large trust fund. He hires me, largely with other escorts, but he also hires one other guy (a bottom) on a one-on-one basis infrequently, as well as new tops when he travels one-on-one. Another client I just met in San Francisco hired me three nights I was there and I am going with him to Las Vegas next week. It is my experience that this time of client is like a young teenager with a favorite new hit record: they listen over and over it to it until the next new favored song comes along and then play that one to death.

I have "lost" some regulars; some of whom because we became too friendly or they became too attached and we decided to maintain an intimate relationship that no longer had a commercial aspect as well as no longer having a sexual aspect. Four simple stopped calling and I know from the "grape vine" they have moved onto other escorts, however, one just recently hired me again while his current "one hit wonder" was out of town.

I always recommend to my clients that they keep their options open. NO ONE is the perfect escort for any one client every minute of every day, particularly if an escort makes the choice to limit himself, as I do in not being sexual versatile as far as anal intercourse is concerned.

Toe To Toe

>>uh huh

In Mr. Munroe's defense (which he has certainly proven himself well capable on his own behalf), I believe from talking to over a dozen escorts, that the suggestion and belief that posting on this thread somehow leads to increased business is quite far from the mark.

As has been stated by numerous others elsewhere herein, any number of escorts have made the choice to stop posting or to post infrequently or to post only in very limited and safe forums: i.e., ASK THE ESCORT or ESCORT TRAVELS. It is apparent that they do not do this because they feel the need to work less or pay more for advertising, is it not?

Granted, being reviewed on this site certainly does increase both interest and potenital for hires, however it is also a fact that a large number of clients by and large ignore this discussion board and look solely (or primarily) at the reviews. I would suggest that any success that Mr. Munroe may enjoy is based more on personality and obvious wit, an ability to put clients at ease, and a reputation matched by skill.

Of course and OBVIOUSLY, those of us who post here regularly do engage in self-promotion. It does CLEARLY bring us to the attention of some clients. But if being noticed and the expenditure of time, energy and funds were an accurate measure of success, certain political parties and politicians, certain movies and record albums and any other number of "products" would be currently enjoying wide spread acclaim, acceptance and celebrity.

President Al Gore, House Speaker Richard Gephardt, "new" Coke and the movie Pearl Harbor, anyone?
