Maximum on tour

Hey guys, as part of our restructuring we are considering taking a couple of our guys on tour to cities on the East Coast. We're considering Boston, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia. As of now it looks as if we would bring Ross and either Oscar or Hugo. I'm trying to get an idea of which city would have the most interest in this. If you are in or near to any of these cities please reply so I can gauge where we should go.

For the supplier perspective, I can tell you that DC is always a great city to work in. Boston less so, and Philly less still. (Besides, doesn't Philly already have a well reviewed agency?) Amtrak has great rates with 15 day advance purchase.

I live in the D.C. area and I understand why escorts that travel here do well - the escorts that are in DC are either not my type or just don't perform.

 

I have made a number of trips to NY and hired from Maximum many times. I have seen Ross twice through Maximum as well as a number of thier other guys.

 

I would vote for bringing Hugo over Oscar. I know that Oscar was originally listed as a top that transitioned to more versatile and also that Hugo was listed as a versatile top. If Hugo tends more towards versatile I would hire him here in DC. I tend to prefer versatile escorts over top only or bottom only escorts partly due to chemistry. I have hired escorts in the past that are versatile and sometimes there is a flip-flop, sometimes I'm in the mood to just bottom and other times I'm in the mood to just top. Depends on the chemistry and the moment. If Hugo were to be more open to being versatile rather than mostly top he would do well, although I'm sure there would be plenty of clients if he was being top only - DC is a city of bottoms.

 

At one point a friend of mine told me his interpretation of versatile/top/bottom in DC: bottom=bottom, versatile bottom=bottom, versatile=bottom, versatile top=versatile bottom and top=versatile but afraid to admit it. True enough but Bolt Bus (booked only on line at BoltBus.com) or Lucky Star in Chinatown are more cost effective and faster.

 

But since I'll be back in NYC next week for a while, I'm (quite selfishly) hoping the Maximum hiatus won't be too long.

I wouldn't put prime goods like Maximum men on Lucky Star. The chinatown busses are periodically cited for drivers working far too many hours with the wrong license for operating a bus, with bad brakes and tires. Other than that, they're great. But it's true that there are several competing bus companies eager to take you to DC for as little as $25 each way. A few even offer wireless so you can book appointments en route.

 

That is just one element to what appears to make DC a great location. One escort I knew told me that he always did well in DC, generally was able to get hotels in good areas at lower rates and did not have as many flakes, no-shows or bargainners. For what it's worth, if you do bring your gents to DC, try to book in a good area very close to a Metro stop. While the Dupont area is a preferred location, there are plenty of other good spots. Just avoid the boonies or the hood.

Not to further divert this thread, but most of those free wireless connections filter out the very sites that escorts need to handle their business. You can check email, but not log on to the escort sites to update your ads or whatnot.

As far as where to stay and when to go, yes Dupont is probably the most preferable. But you should be forewarned: there are times of the year when hotel rates can go through the roof. After the first week or so of October, everything jumps, at least it has the last couple of years I've been looking at it. For example, I was checking rates for an escort who will be coming to DC early in the month (like the 6th-8th). Hotwire has a 4.5 star hotel for $125/night (which is even less than the rate for a 3 or 4 star hotel). One week later, that same room is $245. This also can occur during really large national conventions which happen regularly in DC. AIPAC's conference in May drew about 6,000+ attendees and rooms were at a premium. Last year, on one weekend, it was due to a rally/show by Steve Colbert/Jon Stewart. You can find really good deals on hotels but not at certain times. Dupont tends to be the gayborhood for DC so that is probably the best place to start at least. But I would think easy Metro access is an absolute must wherever you end up.

It's a DC phenomenon - probably all of the tight-assed Republicans that really like to take it up the ass but don't want to admit it.

 

It seemed when I was younger that I was not the typical DC top. I started out my gay sexual life as top only. A number of guys tried to flip me and couldn't do it - I always got the response "you really are top only, aren't you?". Even when I stated I was top only and the other guy was supposedly top only almost every one of them ending up bottoming. Only two didn't. I think a lot of it depends on who they bring to DC.

 

I have seen a lot of super hot, hung and versatile men from Maximum in the past - Jordan, Brandon, Ross, Anton, Nick, etc.

 

I happen to prefer escorts that are hung and versatile - usually bottoming for a hung guy makes me want to return the favor. Ross was pretty damn good when I saw him twice and Jordan was phenomenal. Since the website is down for a while, I cannot review the regular Maximum stable. I'm not in New York City much, but from this site and others, Maximum has a superb reputation for quality guys and excellent, reliable customer service. I suppose the guys who have day jobs may not be quite so mobile as others, but from scanning RB ads more than is probably entirely healthy, there is an almost unquenchable thirst in DC for guys with fitness-model/bodybuilder bodies; they are frequently booked solid. So, if any Maximum Men have the kind of abs, pecs and biceps you see on late night fitness workout informercials, I am sure they'll do exceptionally well.

 

Naturally, beyond appearance, what's on the menu is determinative too. No one wants to waste time and money on a loser who says "I do everything" on the phone and email and then suddenly morph into "Stand across the room and watch me" once money has changed hands. What is admirable about Maximum from everything I've seen is that there is no bait and switch.

 

I'm looking forward to an announcement of a Maximum travel schedule that includes D.C.
