Night-time sharpens,

Heightens each sensation

Darkness stirs and wakes imagination

Silently the senses abandon their defenses

Helpless to resist the notes I write

For I composed the music of the night!

Slowly, gently

Night unfurls it's splendor

Grasp it, sense it tremulous and tender

Hearing is believing, music is deceiving,

Hard as lightning, soft as candle light,

There you trust the music of the night

Close your eyes,

For your eyes will only tell the truth,

And the truth isn't what you want to see

In the dark it is easy to pretend

That the truth is what it ought to be

Softly,

Deafening,

Music shall caress you

Hear it,

Feel it,

Secretly posses you

Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind,

In this darkness which you know you cannot fight,

The darkness of the music of the night

Close your eyes start a journey through a strange new world

Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before!

Close your eyes and let music set you free!

Only then can you belong to me

Floating (floating), falling (falling)

Sweet intoxication!

Touch me (touch me), trust me (trust me)

Savour each sensation!

Let the dream begin,

Let your darker side give in

To the power of the music that I write,

The power of the music of the night!

Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah

Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah

Ah-ah-ah

Aaaaaaaaaahoooh

You alone can make my song take flight,

Help me make the music of the night

Help me make the music of the night

Thank you so much for that magnificent vocal performance. The fact that the words were present to view during the performance made it even more outstanding and unique. I will be spending an overnight next month in NYC with a very special escort. A rendevous we both have been looking forward to for months. I am sure that this marvelous song will be in our minds during our long-awaited night together. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

SD, I can't post what I had hoped to post. Daddy has put in place serious textual restrictions! :(

I haven't thought of the below quote in a lifetime, until Gcursor posted about 'Romance' and then I recalled telling him he gave 'GREAT' friend. I'm hoping he'll forgive me, that I got lucky. I'm outing him, because he truly does give GREAT friend! :p

Most romantic, anything? Mine's a First Edition. As a child, I learnt the words of A. E. Housman's 'Shropshire Lad', off by heart. His 'verses' are now well over 100 years old, 1886, I think. In my eyes, his scribbles from the battlefield are the most beautiful writing ever written. I completely accept, that's just in my eyes. :o

A sample:

From far, from eve and morning

And yon twelve-winded sky,

The stuff of life to knit me

Blew hither: here am I.

Now-- for a breath I tarry

Nor yet disperse apart--

Take my hand quick and tell me,

What have you in your heart.

Speak now, and I will answer;

How shall I help you, say;

Ere to the wind's twelve quarters

I take my endless way.

Sorry. I know you Yank's are going to think this post is soppy. But I'd rather be in bed with a Poet than a Musician. :)

Typical Munroe. As long as you get to bypass immigration, huh? :p

Oh... and if it gets stuck in your ear, it's definitely an Inuit. :p

Glutes. it's actually almost 3am here in Dear Ol'Blighty. Don't fret, I've put out an SOS and I think you can stop agonising, I believe Members have recovered enough loose change. You're finally going to get your own centrally heated crypt! Result, huh?!

Oh, and no probs., just for reassurance, I am happy to put your mind at rest. I'll put my tired, old, exhausted arse out on a line. I would give serious top dollar, just for the chance of a quick hug (and a moon-viewing party) from Munroe, right at this moment. Unfortunately, geography prevents. :(

In fact, there's only one thing I would pay more for. But let's not talk about your face and ambergris. It would require a Sperm Whale, 20-year-old vomit, second-hand cum, and smell like Glutes, huh?

You'd bottle it. :p And I'd worry how many men on this Board would spray and ask for a refund.

Steven,

THANK YOU for this fabulous post. I had not seen this before, but the guys are fantastic, and Barbara is my favorite woman vocalist, so this was a treat. I have played it several times this morning, and I know of an evening event where it will be perfect... Thanks again, and sorry this thread went downhill from your original post!
