In a couple of weeks I will be taking a cruise with an escort. I enjoy playing a little blackjack now and then, and I hope to spend a couple of hours in a casino during our travels. I always pay for an escorts' meals and show tickets when traveling with me, but what does an escort expect regarding gambling? Does the escort use his own funds, does the client cover all gambling expenses or provide a "gaming allowance," or do I skip the casino altogether?

Well, as a fellow client, I'll give you my three cents' worth. I have visited casinos with hired companions, and I do not regard it is a MUST for me to advance the escort some gaming funds. It has always been my choice, and situationally dependent. At times, I've had guys watch while I play a table game, and I have watched my companion play a game of his choice. There have been times where we split up for a while in the casino and did our own thing. When sitting at the same table, I have, on some occasions, bought the escort a small stack of chips to play or handed him some of mine, but I never felt any compulsion to continue to pony up cash for him to continue to lose. Some guys don't know how to play the games smartly. Last year, I had an escort who didn't understand the "book" on blackjack, betted oddly, and after he blew $200 in a few hands, with obviously little clue, I had no intention of giving him any more. He just stood behind me, while I played, and re-gained his loss, and then some. :)

20 on red...20 on black

I know what you mean about blackjack Jawja. I got a rude awakening when I tried to play at a casino for the first time one night. Usually I play roulette betting red and black and do pretty well. 20 on red...20 on black. *kidding* but I do play that way and win pretty good at it.

But one night I decided to try BLACKJACK. During a hand, I asked for a card and this man next to me starts yelling at me about how I had no business taking a card with what I had. I mean those people get vicious. Ever since then, I never play blackjack if anybody is at the table except me. Gambling is stressful enough..I don't need people getting upset with me as well.

I love to play blackjack on line and have always been tempted to try it on my annual visit to Vegas. However, I have also heard similar stories as related by gcursor about others losing it when an "improper" play is made so I just avoid it all together.

As far as having an escort join me in the casino, I ask if they are interested in playing and if they are I would give them some play money. If they consider themselves good, I get a free lesson by watching them and discussing things afterwards. I consider it like paying for their ticket to a show or for their dinner. I'm not a heavy roller so its reasonable.

As an escort it is hard for me to imagine expecting any play money from a client. Unless of course the client EXPECTED me to play. If my cilent was gambling I would be completely satisfied to go amuse myself, or simply watch or help him gamble.

But I'm not much of a casino gambler. Unless I'm wearing my smoking jacket at Monte Carlo or at the Casino Nepal and need to launder a bunch of Indian rupees to nepalese or u.s. currency.

However I did learn a long time ago (before continuous shuffling) to count cards. And I have in the past made my "rent" (or paid for a nice meal) by heading to the horse track and looking for undervalued bets. But that is parimutuel betting so a good unemotional observer with a scientific calculator can dependably make modest amounts of money. Especially towards the end of the day when the bets get skewed to the long shots and place and when place or show bets occasionally payout more than win-bets. But that was before internet betting took off.

I think I have some experience in this topic (by being an escort in Las Vegas). Usually clients who hire me for overnights or several days, I leave it totally to them. It hugely depends on their budget and gambling habits. Like, if my client only likes to gamble at the high denomination slots or - in this case - high limit tables where $100 per hand is the minimum limit, I mostly observe (or maybe risk $100 or $200 max. but that's my limit from my own money). If the client decides to give me gambling money then it is always more fun. I get to play and have a chance to make more money to my client and many times clients split the winning with me.

To make it short, I think it is totally up to the client. I always leave that open. If the client wants to give me money to gamble with then I am happy to play with him, if he does not I decide whether or not I am willing to sacrifice from my own money. If not, I still stay with the client and observe the game. Sometimes it can be as much fun as playing or even more fun.

Hope this helps!

Very sad to hear that and yes it does exist. You have every right to get another card even if you are at 20. It is your money, so it is your right to play the game the way you want. I understand it can be frustrating for the other players BUT EVENTUALLY IT IS YOUR MONEY! So people should sh*t up! ;)
