Numbers in LA reopening?

When I was in LA several months ago, I was told that Numbers bar was going to be reopened as a hustlers bar. Does anyone else know about this? Has anything happened?

I'd be surprised if something didn't pop up again eventually.

 

With all those actors there, they've got to have some place to go to on the last day of the month to "make rent."

I went to the former Numbers once, and only one time, before it was shuddered in 2009. I had heard about that place through this forum many times over the years, so one night after finishing "up" with one of LA's finest, I decided to head down the street, have a drink, and check it out. Lame, Lame, Lame! I sure hope it's next reincarnation is more interesting for patrons.

It's not going to happen. Numbers WAS, it will never be again. Besides, 'With all those actors there," they've got the INTERNET* to go to on the last day of the month.

I went to The Office on a recent trip to LA. The staff is hot hot hot. I had dinner which was very good. They are definitely going for a sexy vibe but not sure whether it is going to have a hustler scene. Check it out.

Thanks. Glad to see the location is a bar again. Time will tell whether some escorts come back. A couple of years ago it reopened with hunky staff in short shorts who were escorts on their own time.

It's a new bar called the Office. It is not escort themed and escorts openly advertising are not welcome. It's supposed to be a high end lounge for sophisticated clientele. The staff there are extremely attractive and mostly straight. Who knows what they'll do in their spare time with enough incentive. But obvious solicitation is not part of the m.o.

I went to The Office Weho Saturday night. It's in the same space where Numbers used to be.

 

First off I've never seen so many people in this space before. It was jam packed. Walter Delmar has created an interesting atmosphere. I went because my friend Tim Anderson was the DJ and I wanted to support him and I thought it would be a good night to try it out.

 

He has definitely hired the hottest staff in West Hollywood. There is no doubt about that. But my only issue is that half of them are straight. I know some guys don't mind that but I have an issue with gay for pay straight guys working in gay places. Be that as it may they were all very friendly and very responsive to the crowd. One of the straight bartenders took off his shirt when a customer gave him a twenty. And last night he took off his pants with a hundred dollar tip.

 

They have "interns" that walk around without their shirts talking to the customers trying to get them to order more drinks. Those guys were gay tonight. In fact all three of them have go go danced in Weho at one time or another.

 

There were definitely working boys in the room although if they were working or not is the question.

 

It's definitely a good atmosphere and with checking out if you are in Weho.

Pasta Pomodoro in the Castro has closed... replaced by a burger place. The new place ain't Hot N' Hunky (how many remember that place!) but it will have to do.

Well The Office in West Hollywood certainly did not last long. I stopped by last night to check it out.......and it is closed down. Someone else I ran into said it was open still 10 days ago so it must have just closed in the last week or so.

I wonder if that space is cursed; it's swallowed more than one business over the years.

Yes, the second floor. You can take the stairs up or an elevator.
