I continue to be amazed by the decisions made by gentlemen in their ad presentations. I just mentioned in one post how classy a scribbled out face pic looks even though his face is shown in the other 6 pictures.

I just saw a picture of a gentleman showing his dick draped across the toilet seat while he is sitting on it, underwear down and god forbid taking a crap. Thankfully I did not see anything floating in the toilet.

I have always loved the cut photos with half the girlfiriend or wife in them.

Another of my current pet peaves are pictures of the gentleman in a room that is a pig sty. Clothes strewn about, food wrappers, dingy unkempt bed and the guy offers in calls, ewww!!!!

When will gentlemen realize that this is not the best presentation to attract potential clients probably from a higher social standing or even those of us who can only afford an hour every now and then, dont you want to show off your best side.

Love the days when triple f would expose awful pictures under "What are they thinking!"

Bart -- Thank you very much. Every single point is dead on. However, I do have to take one exception with your post. A lot of these guys are anything but gentlemen. The description you had of the guy on the toilet was funny, sad and disgusting all at the same time.

It very much falls into the "what were the thinking" category.

Forrest Gump's mom was right, "Stupid is as stupid does." And Ron White is correct when he yells, "You cain't fix stupid."

Marketing is only as good as the person creating the imagery in words and pictures. The classless photos you describe, the inability to write copy with correctly conjugated verbs, the inability to use polysyllabic terminology are all indicators of someone who is devoid of the ability to apply a critical examination of the product they are promoting.

Compare those to the posts of one Juan Vancouver, Steven Draker, Devon Hunter (to name a few) and you'll see why the latter achieve success.

That said, Thank Goodness for these lackluster ones, because those who cannot conjugate verbs would be an embarrassment to me in public, and those who sit on the porcelain throne engorged are off-putting to me and I need not wonder, "Should I hire him?"

I'm discriminating in my tastes, and discriminating against those who market themselves in the manner you describe is made EASY.

Lee I have always tried to show some respect for the gentlemen in this profession and one of those ways is not use some of the other terms which could be used. I realize the term escort is not necessarily a bad label. I always try to step it up a bit. Yes many many probably dont deserve the term gentlemen or escort, but maybe street walker, scum or that "W" word.

Anyway I hate ripping into guys but I just find some of these decisions very odd and damaging to their business. I realize I am not in the profession but I dont see how they expect to attract anybody worthwhile with out a little attention to detail.

Bart,

I think you honor some who are unworthy with the title, 'professional.' In this as many 'professions' there are those who work with great attention to detail and appear to be high caliber persons, and there are those who reduce the calling to the lowest menial task. Thus the difference between 'Date with a Gentleman' and 'hustled by a hooker.'

I look at some of the classless ads in a slightly different way. I am actually glad to see these terrible ads, as it reinforces my decision to avoid that person at all costs. Unfortunately, there are a few that have great ads (probably written by someone else) and some with very enticing pictures (but as we all know, those pictures may not be the person advertising), and thank goodness for the reviews and the comments here on some of those guys. Unfortunately, we have probably all had one of these bad experiences once in awhile. However, a classless add makes it easy to pass it over and not consider further. I find that the case when the photos don't seem to "match" and the descriptions are so poorly written, it doesn't make any difference what the pictures portray. Just MHO...

What other line of work has so many amateurs and self-proclaimed "professionals"? That's one factor that makes it so difficult to find the real gems.

Lee, this is getting scary. You keep posting my exact thoughts. Give me a chance to be first sometime, will ya? :p

Rick --

First, I AM scary as anyone who has ever seen me can attest to.

Two, great minds, same gutter.

Third, it's easier for me since I don't have a life. I keep waiting for any of my favorite stores to have Lives on sale but so far no luck. So I just have to go on without a life. :)

Sad but true.

Have you tried eBay? :p

Now listen Smart Ass (and I say that with affection) -- I said a life, not the game of Life. I don't play games.

Although, now that you mention it, I do play games. Just not crappy board games that have a spinner that goes tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick with every spin.

My favorite game is "Pin The Tail of the Bottom Boy". But I'd probably have to show you the rules of the game in person.

OK, now you're sounding like a priest...where are we going with this role play?? :p

Just couldn't resist the insertion of the word "my" in there -- for that very exact effect. Glad I got the effect just right.

Who knows, as long as Linda Blair and her coterie of priests don't show up I'm fine.

If you thought the training program at your job was bad, think about how little training there is for escorting. Even Realtors where the house/room is the main "product" for sale and presumably there is some kind of marketing class involved in the training/certification get it wrong so many times. I've seen real estate ads with the toilet seat up, towels messed, clutter, beds unmade, etc. Some escorts are not visual at all or they think their pecs or pud will do all the necessary selling. Like everything else, the most successful business people will remove every possible barrier/objection to why you might or might not pick them.

3 way? What? You ditching Derek?

Silly...the "us" was Munroe and Ross!

Actually, I'd rather have this guy (and thanks to daddy for this vision that has been dancing in my head all day) in a 3 way, 4 way or any way.

Really? Even after knowing where he likes to put it??
