The Name Game

I will be heading to the Hooville Festivities in a couple of weeks and I am not sure of how (in any scenario) clients and escorts. Is it proper to address each other by our stage names, user names, handle, or legal name.

Although I know a number of escorts and clients by their legal names I always refer to them by their "other" name for reasons of privacy. Is this the correct avenue to take in a social setting with other people.

As much as I would like to be there and test out the theory I can't, but ..., I would assume that you would address people as how they are introduced

to you, and if the other party would prefer to be called something else, they would likely let you know ...

When I hire, I always ask how they would like to be addressed and I've had some use their stage name and some use their legal name. I guess It depends on the guy.

Honcho's reply is a good one. I might add that when it comes to introducing your guest use the name he prefers. Now when it comes to introducing yourself I would suggest that you use only your real first name and if you are concerned with people knowing your last name simply don't use it.

Bill -- when we meet it will be my real name. At the DC forum lunch a few weeks ago, I believe all of the clients present used their real-life first names. I don't know if anyone other than myself disclosed their last name but hey, I am naive and I'm also not really worried about this crowd for some reason. And like you we obviously have our guests real name, at least in many cases, but they will still be introduced by their stage name. Because part of the function, part of the purpose of Hooville is networking and so clients like us can meet escorts we have previously never met. And if we are to hire them in the future, we certainly must know their professional names. And although a lot of us will also know the real names of many of the escorts who are there as well, I for one will be using their stage names (unless I screw up completely which is always a possibility). And I can hardly wait to meet you and make the acquaintance of the man who is bringing the gentlemen with more names than the rest of the escorts combined.

However, for those who can't make it to Palm Springs on St. Patrick's day weekend, there is usually a local event in NY from my understanding. Cooper -- are plans in the work for NY this year as well. I assume that they are. Perhaps some of the NY contingent would like to invite horny since he is a New Yorker as well.

First, ask your guest what name they want you to use, second decide what name you want to use and third use the name that another individual used when they introduced themselves to you.

Some people introduce themselves with their real first names, some use their handles, some use their stage names. I generally find it easier to use posters' handles on first meeting, simply because that is how I recognize the personalities from the site. If clients or escorts then prefer to substitute their real names, that's their prerogative.

I think it would be hilarious if everyone used numbers or letters for their names (Client A, Client B, Client C....Escort 1, Escort 2, Escort 3, etc). And then everyone could speak as if they were robots or Coneheads!

Escort 2: "Negative."
