I will be spending a long weekend in Las Vegas soon with a friend. I'm in the midst of planning our evening adventures. Any reviews on the Cirque "O" performance at Bellagio? Is it something I should make time for or are there other shows of greater interest?

Any insights are appreciated.

Hey Brandon,

I saw "O" at the Bellagio a couple of years ago and thought that it was awesome, I'm sure that you'd love it! It's been around for a while so maybe the LV guys have some other recommendations for you as well.

Have a blast!

Brandon-

I saw it two weeks after it opened in 1998 and then again about six more times during visits to LV (Used to do a major trade show there every year), By all means DO IT, I mean go see it. Would love to join you with my speedo on. Mystere at Treasure Island is also excellent and more of the original type Cirque de Soleil. There was one scene at one time so homo-erotic I nearly came in my pants. Defintiely do O and not necessarily the very front rows. Sometime that close you kiss the entire overall sense of the scale.

Wish I were going with you. I am a very quiet sleeper and can slip under the bed with little noise.

"O" versus "Le Rêve"

Hey Brandon,

"O" is a great show worth seeing that has been running in Vegas for a while.

My personal current favorite is "Le Rêve" at the Wynn resort and casino.

In "Le Rêve" I like the round pool in the middle of the theatre better that the pool designed for "O". You get better view and there are no bad seats.

Flawless performance and a job well done by the producer Franco Dragone (who is originally from Belgium).

Brandon, I've seen O on a couple of occasions and enjoyed it both times. The men are very hot, the acrobatics are quite impressive, and the water makes for an added dimension. How they do some of the stunts is quite impressive. It is also my very favorite of the Cirques.

Sit about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way back from the stage, that way you'll get the best overall view.

Brandon,

"O" is excellent! The presentation, the emotion, the music, the stage work, is all remarkable. All the other "Cirques" in Vegas are entertaining and worth the price of admission, imho, but "O" ranks up there with the best live production shows ever put together.

Brandon, thanks for asking the question. I'm planning a trip to Vegas and was thinking of Zoomanity but found out it was going to be playing. This might be the ticket. And thanks for all the input from the rest of you guys.

Are there any other shows that you would put on a 'must see' list?

I think that "O" is the best of cirque. I have seen it several times and have seen every other Cirque show. Don't miss "O", but definitely sit about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way back. You will have a much better view... if you want to see the eye candy even better, bring a small binocular with you. Some of the swimmers are really HOT, so having an up close and personal view is not to be missed. Enjoy. If you have time for a second, I agree that Le Reve is also not to be missed.

Yes, "O" is a definite "must-see" show in LV! I saw it last year and was blown away by the productrion. Don't miss it!

Avoid Cirque du Soleil's latest production at the Aria Hotel called "Elvis" A complete snooze fest without all the usual Cirque du Soliel fun and charm.

Do put Mystere, Love, and La Rive on your list of other shows to see.

Wow, thanks for all of the incredible response to my question. It sounds as if in addition to finding the perfect outfit for the evening, I need to dig for my opera glasses......those who know me know I don't like to miss a thing!

Yes - O is excellent. Other recommendations:

Ka

Mystere

Jersey Boys

Blue Man Group

Tournament of Kings (includes dinner)

All these can usually be purchased at a discount on the day of the show at various "half-price" ticket outlets located along the Strip.

And for something different for an adrenalin rush:

Do the "ride along" but add an extra lap (3 total). You WILL have a smile on your face.

"O" or "Eau" is terrific and again I reiterate or iterate if not one has previously iterated, bring the opera glasses but some of these guys are so well put together that you may have your eyes pop out a la many cartoons. Middle 1/3 seems like great a great place to sit, though I sat first row mezzanine and it was a great seat.

Thanks to everyone who recommended "O." I just returned from Las Vegas and had an incredible time in Sin City. The Cirque "O" show was certainly an incredible experience. The artistry of the performance was over the top. It's certainly a show I could go back to see again. Thanks again for the recommendation!
