I have been in the "bidness" for about 3 years now, and have been doing a bit of travel to escort/deprived locations like Omaha. I am currently in Minneapolis with a client for a week, and he and I have shared some very interesting conversations regarding the ins and outs of escorting. He has an extensive and rich history of engaging escorts, and has developed some long-lasting relationships with the fortunate gentlemen he has spent time with. He brought up an intriguing topic the other night...apparently there are many hotels which are escort/friendly, to the point of having the concierge directing traffic to escorts staying in their establishments, or in hotels in the vicinity should they receive requests. How does one connect to this network, and what are the dynamics of such interchanges. Does the escort offer a percentage of his fee to the concierge, or is that the responsibility of the client? Any advice or information, gentlemen? Thanks!

As one who hires, I would be very interested in knowing who the concierges are that we could approach - I am always terribly afraid to broach the subject with any hotel staff, though at times, it is tempting.

You can do a search about certain Palaces (large 5-star hotels) in Paris and their "concierge services".

The concierge works with a closed network of escorts and call girls and gets a commission for each 'call'. This practice has been banned since many of these concierge got in trouble with the justice and got sued for proxenetism.

Proxenetism

Prox`e·ne'tism noun [ Greek ... agent + -ism ; confer French proxénétisme .] The action of a go-between or broker in negotiating immoral bargains between the sexes; procuring.

I would never utilize a concierge in a hotel, especially in one of the "name brands." They are in danger of losing their job, and worse, could also face legal action. I have asked for suggestions when staying at a gay resort, but even there, I was simply referred to some of the web sites that we are all familiar with and are often referenced on this site. I doun't doubt that this gentleman may have been helped by a concierge, but I for one would NEVER do that, anymore than I would use a taxicab driver. Maybe I am just too conservative, but I really don't want my name or mug shot in a newspaper or on TV.

When I worked and travelled in the US on business, staying in very good hotels in major cities, I would often ask the concierge for help in this regard. I figure they've heard every request in their job.

I always approached a male concierge in person, when there were no others around, and spoke pleasantly about being a gay man and looking for some company. Sometimes I was given good local info on restaurants and bars with gay men, sometimes I was asked if I'd like a male masseur, sometimes I was asked what type of man I liked, and just once the late 20s guy told me he was finishing work in under an hour and offered to take me to a bar (and yes we did get together). I always tipped the concierge $20 for his advice and assumed the masseur/escort would reward him for the referral.

I knew a concierge at a hotel who would gladly refer to call girls/guys for a referral fee. He said that he was an independent agent, "renting" space in the hotel. He explained this wasn't the case for a concierge in the finest hotels (e.g. Four Seasons, etc.) but was certainly true at 4 star and below.

I was staying in a 4 star property in Argentina about 10 years ago. I was waiting alone in the lobby for my work colleague to appear so we could leave for dinner. The concierge noticed me siting alone and actually came over to me and asked if I needed company for the night....he had a selection of girls he could recommend. Of course I declined.....but I was surprised by the proactive service! Also, saw an active call girl scene that the concierge and bellboys were in on at a 5 star property in Caracas. That was probably 15-10 years ago. I think it is hit and miss at hotels. I personally would never approach a concierge at a hotel to arrange male companionship. I cannot imagine they would have more luck finding what I want than I could do for myself using all the various resources available to me. But, hey, that is just my opinion.

Ah for the good old days of late Communism in Central Europe and Russia when the lady who monitored the hallways on every floor had girls allowed to bang on your door and try to proposition you!!! I heard rumors that guys (soldiers and cadets) could also be gotten for the right exchange of rubles (or better, in those days, dollars), but never tried it; found the insistent ladies a pain in the butt.

My experience in some hotels in Prague, Budapest and Vienna is that if you approach a male concierge discreetly, tip moderately, and act politely, you cna get any info you need.

excellent question indeed! In New Orleans I have one very good relationship with a concierge at a fine hotel that I cannot name. He knows the rest and they do network. Once or twice a month I get called by a concierge requesting service to a particular room at their hotel. I always leave the concierge an envelpope of appreciation. this is not now, nor never will be, a major part of my operation because rentboy and m4rn have rendered it almost unnecessary. some clients DO NOT travel with internet access and some WON'T go to those sites. That is where print ads in bar rags or ads in the local yellow pages still do work but it is so expensive and so much trouble to maybe reach 2 or 3 additional clients in a month. http://www.rentboy.com/mikey9nola1
