Visit to Polrto Alegre Dec 1-4

I had a good visit to Porto Alegre (POA). Quick summary is:

 

Termos Mezzaninu

Went on 3 days. Hooked up with a rentboy on 2 of the days. One was Sergio who was about 26 yo and had a smokin' body. Italian looking guy. Kissed like a champ. Somewhat limited in other activities.....but I tend more to be into the worship thing anyway. So I often am not seeking reciprocation. I forgot the other guys name but he was about 30yo with balding head. He ended up not delivering on what had been discussed and agreed in advance yet still wanted the full fee. We had quite a direct conversation about this (I speak Portuguese) and he ended up agreeing to lower remuneration. I have not had a situation like this for many years with the guys.

 

In general, the talent at Mezzaninu was decent. I was somewhat taken aback by the fees they were quoting......really Sao Paulo/Rio type rates. It did not used to be that way. And it was not just negotiation as they were quite firm. This was a new development for me.

 

The Friday evening gogo boys were notable in that there were 5 of them.....including one set of identical twins. Very hot indeed.

 

Final new development is that Mezzaninu have now banned smoking on the premesis except for a small room on the second level. I was thrilled to see this. Seems a new law has gone into effect in Rio Grande do Sul state.

 

 

Cabaret Indiscretus

I went here on the Thursday and Friday nights. Good time both nights. Some hot gogo boys who get increasingly frisky as the night goes on. Friday nights they advertise having nude waiters. I only saw one actually semi-naked. He did keep on a small white apron but was totally naked from behind. In spite of the new smoking law, Indiscretus still allows smoking inside which is against the new state law. I assume this is a temporary situation until they get fined or found out by the autorities.

 

Men's Club.

New rentboy bar and restaurant very close to Plataforma Sauna on Rua Dr. Timoteo. Interesting concept and nicely put together. Problem was there was hardly anyone there. Two rentboys whom would not have interested me at all. Three customers. I was there from 11:00pm till midnight on the Thursday night. Also, they have a flat entry rate of 20 reais which is basically the minimum consumption. I have not problem with that. However, I did have a problem with the fact that they charge you an additional 10 reais if you do not consume the minimum amount of 20 reais. Makes no sense....at least to me.....and apparently to most other people cause there was virtually no-one there. I like the infrastructure there....very nicely decorated. However, they need to change this rediculous rule on consumption to get my business again. Also, they need to start pulling in clientele for it to hold any interest for anyone. My guess is that it won't be around long unless things change dramatically pretty fast.

 

All in all, a good visit. I will return to POA next year.

They all wanted 100 reais. However, let me clarify:

 

- I always insist the garotos do the money shot. I do not go with garotos that don't cum...and I discuss this requirement with them in advance.

- I do not do sloppy seconds. I won't go with a guy if he has already been with a customer

that day. For this reason, I tend to go early and choose the guys as they are arriving for the day.

- I usually go only with the hottest, most hunky guys. I would not be interested in 70-80% of the garotos at the sauna whom I consider to be pretty average looking. I am sure many of them would be happy to do the deed for 50 reais.

 

For all these reasons, it is not unusual for me to have to pay more than the normal going rate.....and frankly I do not mind that as long as I am getting the type of guy I like. Basically I am asking them to shoot their load early upon arrival at the sauna.

 

It is not unusual for me to pay 70-100 reais for similar type activity in SP or Rio. Never encountered this before in Porto Alegre however.

Thanks for the response. Your approach makes sense to me: I see no point to hiring unless you get exactly what you want.

On my last visit to POA in April/May of 2009 I was getting what I wanted for 70 reais, sometimes 60, occasionaly 50 Sounds like the boys have formed some sort of garato union if they are getting 100 reais firm now. ;->

The cream of the crop (the top 2-3 hunkiest guys at the sauna) were looking for 100 reais to shoot load early in the day. I am sure many of the other lesser blessed men would have done it for 50 reais or less. I would not generalize and say they all demanded 100. But even this is new for me in POA. In the past, I was always able to get the top guys there for 50-70........so the rates seem to have gone up at least for the most sought after talent. Supply and demand I guess.

I found the above posts to be interesting to say the least. I also appreciated EZEtoGRU's listing as to what determines his selections. But, the thing which baffles me is the discussion of the fee for which a sauna "boy" requests. Today the exchange rate is as follows: R$50 = $29US, R$60 = $35US, R$70 = $47US, R$80 = $48US, R$100 = $59 - $60 and R$150 = $89US.

 

Yes, when I have traveled to Brazil (7Xs during the 2000s)-- I've given the fee from R$50 to R$100 but discreetly. I do NOT believe in exploitation; thus I attempt to be fair. With the figures which I quoted above for 12.7.10-- that requested fee "aint bad." But, then again, it depends on who's making the request.

It was some of the others' responses at this particular thread as well as at other sites that have bothered me in regard to the fees of sauna boys and escorts in Brazil. MY thumbs are up!
