Sao Paulo Update

Well some of you may remember I visited Rio/Sao Paulo back in September and found the sauna scene had declined pretty dramatically in both cities in terms of the quality of the boys that were available. My worst venture in over 20 years of Brazil travel.

 

As promissed, I have returned to Brazil and spent 4 days last week in Sao Paulo. I am pleased to report that things were better on this trip. Not fantastic......but better. I would say the talent in Lagoa was very good. The boys at Fragata (which I generally prefer) were not great with the exception of Luciano who I always see when I am there.

 

I still believe the general sauna scene is in decline in Brazil due to the improving economy and the ability of the boys to get legitimate work at decent wages. Also, I do believe allot of the top talent do go to Europe. However, I am relieved that things were better on this visit.

 

BTW, I went to ABC Bailao disco downtown on two nights. I had been there before some years ago but had forgotten how fun it is. Interesting place where the generations meet. Not really too much rentboy activity. Rather younger guys that are genuinely into older men......HEAVEN!! Also, on the Thursday night they had about 8 security guards working......OMFG......half of them were really hot. Anyone know if they are available??

I stayed at the Hyatt for one night and then the Intercontinental Hotel on Alameda Santos for the other three nights. Not really my usual hotels (I tend to stay at the Hilton in Morumbi normally) but I had points to burn.....so all 4 nights were free. I do not choose hotels in SP based on closeness to sauna etc. I tend to like higher end luxury properties. Also, I rarely bring boys back to my hotel so I am really not looking for a place where it is easy to slip someone in.

 

Quite a few years ago, I understand a male flight attendant from United was murdered in his hotel room at the Sheraton in Rio. He supposedly had an escort in his room and things turned ugly. I heard this story from some of the UA flight attendants. Makes me somewhat nervous to invite guys back to the hotel. I only tend to do it if I have been with the guy multiple times and I have developed a reading of his character. I will do the POA review right now.
