Too Crass?????

I have just finished tunning up my website, and I would like to get a few opinions on how people felt about XXX photos on an escort's website. I have asked a few of my friends about it, and get a mixed response. I try to keep my website pretty classy, and the photos are from a photo shoot I did with another escort last month. What do you guys think?? I haven't linked the photos on my website yet, and was waiting to get some more opinions. Thanks.

Jon first your site looks great.

 

Your site is to promote yourself to prospective clients. The question then becomes will these pictures make the type of client you are trying to attract leave with a bad taste about your serivces. For instance, hypotheticaly lets say you put pictures on the site of being fisted. That may deter some folks from hiring you who find that activity extreme (not saying it is just an example).

 

If the pictures represent you then I don't see an issue. Porn starts don't seem to have a problem getting clients.

 

Now if you are asking purely from a "class" perspective, I think X rated pictures aren't as calssy as what you already ahve up.

I think the website looks great. Since you're posting those pics to give prospective clients a good idea of what they're going to see - the more you show, the better. In fact, I'd add a pic of you fully erect, but that's just my bias }>

Hey Jon--nice site--Since you asked, I would put as revealing of pics as you are comfortable with. The purpose is to get business and most prospective clients wanna make sure YOU are as represented. You can make it very revealing and even show hard without it turning into a porn site, if that is what you want to avoid. Anyway classy as is and would stay that way with even more revealing work. IMHO :+

First, with a web address like manfuck.com, you have already left the realm of prim and proper websites.

I like the pix you already have and more explicit would only make it more enticing.

My personal opinion would be to change the picture with a cigarette. That could be a turn-off, more than an erect penis.

What picture with a cigarette? I dont smoke. But I see where the "N" in my name in one of the pictures looks like I am holding a cigarette. Thanks for catching that, and I will DEFINITELY get that fixed.

I'm often in the minority around here, but it amazes me how few escorts post pics that reveal something about their **personality**. I have no objection to arty poses or the x-rated stuff, but I'd also like to some more natural stuff that tells us more about who you are as a person.

 

Are you friendly? Lets see a shot of you playing with a dog or a kid.

 

Are you brainy? How about a shot of you struggling over a chess move.

A suggestion I make with some experience in computer graphic design:

 

On the "rates" page of your website, the blue text against a gray background becomes very hard to read and it's hell on the eyes. Not much better than blue red combinations. I would suggest you definitely fix this.

 

Otherwise, a very attractive website.

I really appreciate all of you taking the time to give me feedback on my website, and on the XXX pics. I got a couple of e mails asking me what program I used. I used Swish (for the flash intro), Fireworks, and then Dreamweaver for the final design. I used WS FTP to load the website onto my server.

 

This was my first try, and I have probably learned more about web design than I ever cared to know.

 

Thanks again, and I appreciate the feedback. I will think it over about posting the XXX pics.

I agree with that 100%--to me it's not just looks, but just as much if not more so, personality. sense of humor, intelligence and wit. So--candid images with puppy or close friends laughing or what not on a special page is always a nice touch in my book.

 

So, a page of XXX }> and a page of down home goodness

This is a great site to get feed back, even from clients who may have no interest in hiring you. I posted the link to my Gay Dar site when I first decided to use it to primarily advertise myself as an escort, and I made the choice to not use any erect frontal nudity on that site. There are several reasons for that, namely that a lot of my inquiries come from within AOL and I do not want to send a link to a site that AOL can complain about with any legitimacy with respect to content.

 

I do have plenty of shots that can pass for porn and when requested, I can and do send them (and can and do post them within say the Escort Travels conference). I do not think my gay dar site is as well shot or "arty" as your own - or say Bobby (Prime Muscle) or CJ or some of Joey Ciconne's shots - but part of the point of Gay Dar is that clients can find out my interest and view current pictures of me. It is the only site with a smiling picture of me and one of me and my cat.

 

From my client base, I tend to get compliments on my sites and pictures. I think you should stick to what makes you comfortable. If it is your own site, you can always update and upload new pictures regularly.

Yeah, I agree, besides I'd rather see pics of dick than dogs or kids anyday. Very nice site and a woman might read into it that you might accept women clients (since you don't say you're strictly gay). Too bad I don't live in TX!

For me, the most important thing that I look for on an escort's site is a genuine representation of their face, THEN their body, with the real purpose being to determine their body TYPE rather than trying to cop a free peek.

 

Finally, I have always thought it much more sensuous, not to mention classier, to see the penis semi-hard. (Like Kristian of Houston. Yum!) I don't know why really. Maybe it suggests that he's "saving" himself for something more important. Like me! I dunno; maybe I'm just weird. Anyway, that's this man's opinion.
