There's a town called Yass (only two s's) just outside Canberra so of course the crew from The Queer Eye had to go there to film for the show!

Posting this here as a follow-up to my previous post. Two of the Queer Eyes guys appeared on an ABC Radio National program this morning. Their segment is from 17.30 to 31.30: http://radio.abc.net.au/programitem/pel3PK8ZVD?play=true

The following 2 minutes talks about use of the word 'queer' as a lead in to a segment on language, English language dominance and a little more, that runs to 44.00.

I’m proud of myself for guessing the language (Finnish)... A couple of weeks ago I was on a Lake Tahoe cruise and guessed Armenian correctly while with a friend. Truth be told, I was going to guess Farsi until one of the people talking started eating something, so I knew I had to pick a non-Muslim country...

Reminds me of Veterinarian Hospital on The Muppet Show.

When I was in the ICU, I was monitored remotely, and they could see me via CCTV. Whenever someone would talk to me, I’d look around like the guy in this video. They thought I’d gone mad.

At one point during that admission, I had a craving for Dr. Pepper, so I called the night nurse in the O.R. To bring me one. My nurse grabbed the phone.

“He can’t have that, he’s NPO,” she said.

“Oh, I know, the OR nurse said.

“And he’s been singing,” my nurse said.

“Oh, that’s okay,” the OR nurse said, “He does that.”
