Unicorn started a thread with a title " The Happiest Day of my Life" I was wondering about the most memorable day for you. For me, it was many years ago when I was vacationing in Seattle. After finding a cheap hotel my friend and I planned all the things we would do the next day in Seattle, like the Space Needle and markets. The next morning we headed for downtown Seattle. As we left the car I noticed on the marquee of the Avenue Theater that Carol Channing was playing in "Hello Dolly". I went over to the box office and asked if it was possible to get tickets for that evening. The lady at the box office said there were 2 seats available that had just been handed in by a cast member. Although they were expensive I bought them.

During the day my friend and I explored the city and especially the antique shops. That night we were treated to a wonderful evening of entertainment.

But the end of the story doesn't end at the end of the show. We took a taxi to one of Seattles steam baths where we both got "lucky"

Hi, welcome!!

I have had many memorable days as well as regrettable.

I will have to think about it for a bit...

My wedding day remains the most memorable and happiest day of my life. I will not bother those that know some of the details with a repetition, all and all it was, is, and will be always the day I find most memorable. It is also the day I was most proud of myself. However, it is third in one aspect. I spent more money each time I bought a house, so it is only the third most expensive day of my life.

The most memorable day of my life was the day I met my partner. I was on vacation, staying in a gay guest house on Cape Cod. He was staying there with his ex, who invited me to join them for a dinner party to celebrate his friend's birthday. I joined them, became deeply involved in conversation with my new acquaintance, and we ended up (surprise!) in my bed. Shortly before midnight, I looked him in the eyes and said, "You know, I think we are going to live together for the rest of our lives." He replied, "I think so, too." Two weeks later, we signed a lease on an apartment, and have been together ever since--42 years and counting.

Congratulations Charlie! That is a wonderful story. I hope you have many more years together.

Totally agree! Love at first sight and a lifetime together is as close to Heaven on Earth as I can imagine. :)
