Has the FRC or GOP made a declaration about the sin of Rekers? Must his punishment be severe? Must he lose his post? Will he claim innocence for there has not been penetrating sex withLucien and perhaps obtain pardon from all? And if other escorts appear and reveal more? One contributor mentions here closeted gays antigay in public life who experoenced scandals of gay nature. Were lives of the guilty destroyed? I think that they were perhaps agitated by initial shouting and passing shame and now are out of the closet and calm enough. The same will happen for Rakers I beleive.

GOP/RNC/FRP: Why would they. Rekers' never claimed to be a Republican. I know lots of Baptist preachers who are Democrats.

Lose his post?: NARTH is investigating, FRC says he hasn't been involved with them in over a decade. USoCarolina has scrubbed their website which for a Distinguished Professor Emeritus is pretty damning.

 

Looks like he's chairman of InterAct International which is dependent on donations. Looks like he's pretty screwed financially.

 

I'm not sure Lucien hasn't been effected for life and I'm certain after 40+ years 'hiding', Rekers is pretty out of touch with who and what he is.

 

Then let's not forget the collateral damage of all those who listened and believed Rekers - they're going to be reevaluating themselves, too.
