Which do you prefer?

The WSJ on Saturday ran an article on women's preferences "Why Women Don't Want Macho Men," by Jena Pincott concerning research into women's preferences for men. They were presented with pairs of men's faces. For each set they would need to select the face they considered more attractive and indicate how much they preferred it to the other one:

Agreed- not really my type -- but the face on the left does seem more masculine -- even though they are the same -- the magic of photoshop --

The eyes have it

 

Same guy, slight tweaks to produce a different affect & effect.... I slightly prefer the guy on the right. The eyes are the main difference I see between the two, and the right has a slight twinkle to it that suggests a sense of humor, while the guy on the left looks too serious to me. But, of course, if you stare at the pics long enough, you see that the eyes are identical - the slightest of tweaks to may them seem slightly different.

 

And, actually, the longer you look, the more alike they look, down to the acne scars...

The more masculine guy looks natural. The other guys seem to made up and boyish.

The faces are far too similar, but the photo (face) on the left looks a slight bit more mature; thus that is the one that I would take!

I definitely prefer the more masculine guy on the left. He looks like a personal trainer at the gym. The guy on the right looks like he works at the cosmetics counter at Nordstroms!
