Lately I find myself using Bing as often as Google. In the past another search engine was not even a thought I simply went straight to Google. But now I stop and think where I feel I will get the best results. Bing seems to come through as often if not more for me ... on a side note Bing is slowly becoming part of our culture (daily lives) as Google once did. Check out this brief clip from the Vampire Diaries.

Google but not because it's better

I am still a Google-holic but have to admit that the search results from Bing are often better for what i'm looking for.....Still old habits are hard to break....I think Bing has a great future but Microsoft needs to do a better job of marketing the advantages of Bing in a way that makes some sense to users....All their talk about intuitive searches etc..looses me unless they can show me how I would want to use it.....

You know what bing stands for, right? But It's Not Google. :)

Kevin Slater

Nice acronym. ;)

I am a google-holic. Google search, g-mail, brand-new Android phone (which replaced the "made for Google" palm pre that I dropped one too many times). If they sell a Googlemobile I will probably drive one.

I used Bing to look up Google and Google to look Up Bing. Google started with posts about Bing Crosby. Hmmm is that an indictment of Google or is der Bingle still the biggest Bing of all?

I must be doing something wrong. When I accidentally use BING ( because of the way Search Function of my browser works) it never seems to give me what I want. So I am still enamored with Google so far.

I find many great benefits of using Bing. The most import being it knows my user name and passwords from Internet Explorer when I enter a site while searching with Bing.

The only thing I do not like about Bing is that it is "too smart" when I travel. While using Bing and doing a search for something in English while I am in another country, Bing assumes the language of the foreign country which it obviously gets based on the IP address of the server I use. This happens even though I ask for information in English. Needless to say, a search in a language unfamiliar to me is useless.

I realize there is a feature that allows for a translation of the text but that should not be necessary.

I notice the Bing site says it is a BETA version which means it is still being developed.

Most of the time I go back to Google when I travel.

I use both. Have both apps on my iPhone.

I find I like Bing much better for searches related to travel.

When on my computer, my favorite search engine is Clusty. I like how it clusters search results into topics.

I google. I've been using the internet since days of Mosaic and Pipeline. First was Yahoo, then came AltaVista and then Metacrawler. Google has the features and customization I like and Bing seems to be foisted on me by Microsoft with their product.

i've been using bing mostly for about a month now. i prefer it over Google--seems like there's fewer ads on bing and more relevant results on most of my searches.

Myself I still like yahoo. I personally do not like the smart searches.... yahoo has worked for me for years....

So far my trend has been over the years...

Netscape Navigator

Yahoo

Lycos

Yahoo

Google

Yahoo

So it seems always comeback to Yahoo.... bit if it a toss between Bing and Google....Google is better IMHO.
