Ed Sullivan brought this guy to my attention a few years ago, and it turned out that Ed had a good nose for talent. Presley has been singing up a storm ever since, even if now reduced to being a lounge act at Indian casinos. Ladies still throw their undies at him, and he was recently featured on the Ellen show. Talk is that the next season of American Idol will devote a night to his songs. Not bad for a guy from Memphis, right?

What's you favorite Presley song?

Enjoy these photo of Elvis:

Three for me

Kentucky Rain

In the Ghetto (just so I can harmonize after he sings the line "In the Ghetto")

Jailhouse Rock (for its homoerotic lyric #47 said to #3 You're the cutest jailbird I ever did see, I sure would be delighted with your company, come on and do the jailhouse rock with me)

Actually, Elvis was from Tupelo, MS but anyone who wanted to know, knew that. It has been wild here in MEM with his 75th birthday anniversary even with the near record low temperatures. Right now it is 22 and that is higher than forecast. This has tempered the "celebration" to some extent but there are still loyal, die hard Elvis fans everywhere, cluttering up the hotels, motels and restaurants. Long live Elvis. :)

True, Memphis is Mecca for Elvis' fans and he did base here all of his adult life. I suppose, ala Clinton, it depends upon your defintion of "from". If I lived somewhere else for 50 years, I would still be "from" Memphis because I was born here. You can take the boy out of the South but can you take the South out of the boy? :)

Best regards,

Oh dear...

the wannabes. But that's okay. Last night I had another vision. At first I was sucking on a big dick while gripping the cheeks of a muscular butt when I heard the disembodied Voice. Elvis, the real Elvis, is on the mother ship and performing for the Aliens, the real ones. MJ's there, too.

I can't help thinking that Elvis would have held up better than Mick.
